Dress, not vest
It's beautiful but the only reason I didn't give it four stars is because I had bought other vests from Eileen Fisher that were much more like a vest. This was slim fitting and could be used as a dress as shown in the photos on the website. If they called it a sleeveless button-down dress I wouldn't have ordered it. But they called it a vest and I ordered it and it was not something you could wear as a vest. Otherwise it's beautiful.

I learned that the lantern dresses run large, so you have to size up in everything else. I bought the wrong size in this. So in addition to it not fitting me, the style was unflattering. Sadly, it had to go back.

vest or dress?
I was lucky enough to see this in store, tried it on and fell in L-O-V-E. I asked the salesperson if the dress came in other colors and she said "actually it's a vest!" Fooled me, as this is the perfect classy summer-y suit-y kind of dress and I look forward to styling it as a long vest as well. make this dress/vest in more colors!
