Great linen sweater
Love this long sweater. It is very light weight. Great on warm evenings if you want to look a little nicer for a dinner out or museum visit. It makes me feel a little more dressed even when wearing jeans.

Simple, light outer wrap

A birthday present to myself!
As always, EF is my go to for timeless casual clothing. This lovely linen cardigan is a 3-season sweater I'll wear often. Very dark green will go with just about anything! Happy birthday to me!!

Great cardigan
I have it in seaweed and black. Very pleased with my purchase: they are great for work, for walks and even for an evening out; the material is crisp and pleasant, black fits with everything and seaweed is excellent.

Beautiful, but...
I chose this cardigan in the seaweed color, which is subtle & beautiful. I ordered size XL because that size EF cardigan or jacket usually fits me better than a size L (I like looser cardigans & jackets). For reference: 38DD, 43" hips.
The cardigan fit me OK, but I didn't like the narrow sleeves. The length was perfect, and the pockets are in the correct place for hands to slip into (I loved the pockets!) And, the rolled edges at the hem and wrists are a nice detail. However, I found that the somewhat lightweight knit linen/cotton fabric has a bit of a toothy texture which can result in the cardigan clinging to fabrics worn underneath. Because of the fabric texture and garment design, the cardigan got hung up on my hips in the back and looked awkward -- it didn't have a graceful swingy drape in the back. This garment might be less clingy if worn over slippery fabrics, such as very smooth silk, but, I don't always wear silk tops and pants. If the linen/cotton knit was heavier, perhaps it would have draped more gracefully over my jeans and cotton t-shirt.
It was a difficult decision, but I chose to return this beautiful sweater -- wishing the fabric were a more substantial weight, and wishing it had a more generous drape and slightly wider sleeves (to wear over long sleeved linen shirts). I wasn't sure if a size 1X would have fit any better...I think the fit issues were related to garment design & fabric texture and weight. Sigh. I really loved the color!
