Bias section, want it in black
Love the way the bias cut section makes the dress fall. Nice fabric! All around wear - dress up or down. I have in white. Wish I could buy in black. They were out when I tried to order.

This is a dress to have in your closet! I'm usually a PS, I ordered a XS in cocoa, the fit was great, not big at all in the arm pit as other comments suggested. I liked it so much that I also ordered the dress in black, this time the PS was available. The linen quality is good, not too heavy, not too see through, great for hot summers. The best part is that since the bottom part flows, it hides my belly! Very happy with my dress.

Good idea, not completely fulfilled
Dress arrived quickly Love the brown color for summer. Not transparent, but light and seems like it will be a comfortable option for hot days. It is pretty basic so I can see wearing it very casually, not sure, because of it's total lack of shape, if it can too far outside our garden! I had a similar linen EF dress some years ago that had brilliant seaming and pockets. It was my favorite go-to for everything, always smart, sophisticated yet effortless. This new version just feels like nobody -- designer or wearer -- is trying.

Beautiful and timeless
Love the quality of linen and the fine cotton detachable slip that comes with the white. The other suggestions to size down are correct. The top is cut pretty generous for curves and then it has a very A-line silhouette. The size I want is sold out, so I’ll keep and wear around the house, but it is too loose to dress up—unless it contracts a bit when I wash on cold and do not fully reshape, rather than dryclean. ;)

Favorite Dress
This has to be one of my favorite all time dresses, so I bought it in black, brown, light blue and white. Perfect for humid weather of Hawaii. In the winter I just throw on a denim jacket. Very well made. Fabric is light, and a tad see through if held up to light, but on it does not show through. The white version comes with a cotton slip. With it's timeless style, I'm sure I'll be wearing it for years to come.

Fit problems
I bought this a while ago and have NEVER had a problem with Eileen Fisher fit, so, on receiving it, I cut the label out as I am sensitive to scratchy labels. Stupid, I know, but it is just a habit. I tried it on and it was so poorly fitting, I don't even know where to begin. A sad waste of money and a lesson for me!! PS Almost everything I own is from Eileen Fisher.

Flattering design, cheap construction
I ordered this because I have had this design before, and think the bias panels and asymmetric pieces in the skirt are particularly flattering. However, this variation has no facings whatsoever. The edges of the neck and armholes are finished with an overcast stitch, just like the (way-cheaper) dresses you might see at a beach town, on a rack on the sidewalk.

Okay linen dress.
I wanted to love this piece but the fabric is very thin and the entire piece seems unfinished. I kept it anyway for a hot summer’s day and I bought it on sale.
