great fabric and look
I bought this top because Eileen Fisher never disappoints. However, this top runs small and I am sad that I bought it online and did not realize that the top was too small sooner. The size I think would work is not available in white, which is what I needed. It is a beautiful blouse but too small.

Perfect lightweight shirt
Purchased the organic handerchief linen shirt in white and black to wear as an underpinning under jackets and lightweight spring/ summer cardigan sweaters. It is the perfect layering piece and perfect length. Love the mandarin collar. Due to the close to the shoulder fit I decided to size up to XL instead of my usual size L. The fit was perfect. Not too loose under the arms. Will wear this often. Perfect!

Comfy and stylish
This shirt fits well everywhere but in the bust. I wear a large and its a teeny bit tight. But love that armholes are not too big and length is perfect for my short figure. Only problem of course is the linen! Needs washing and ironing every time i wear it. Its so comfortable though.

Summer Linen.
It runs small. I say that because 99% of my EF pieces are a size small. I reordered it in med the fit was better yet the bust line was tight. Love the fabric and the style. Yet the fit is off for me.

The seaweed color matches a 20 year old Eileen Fisher Mandarin colllar jacket I have - and still wear. Usually wear a medium but large looked better because of fabric and style

Top runs small!
The fabric and style are very nice. Cuts in nicely at the shoulders. A great warm weather staple. That said, I'm usually a PS in Eileen Fisher. Because this top does not come in petite, I ordered a regular extra small. Though the length was fine, it was tight across the top. I sent it back and reordered in small. Hopefully that should do the trick!

Seems for a particular type of person
I ordered this in the XS - in green and in white. I usually order PS and P6 or P8 in items. This just seemed to fit odd. The shoulders were cut in from the shoulders about a 1/2-1" more than I would like, and the A-line fits was not a flattering one for me, at least with the current length. I would have preferred it an inch or so longer and a little narrower at the bottom. The armholes worked well for me, but just barely, but made me reject ordering a S because then I thought the armholes would be too big. For reference I am 5'3", small chested, about 115 lbs, athletic build. The other thing that kind of bugged me were the buttons. The buttons themselves are quite nice - very high quality, but I would have liked more. On me have with just the the top one unbuttoned I found the shirt more closed up than I would have liked. Having the top two buttons undone though was too much exposure. Sigh.

Lovely fabric, but did not fit well
Beautiful fabric and color (seaweed). But the armholes were too deep in my usual size medium (I’m a size 10), so regretfully, I sent it back. I may try a small, which I sometimes wear in EF boxy tops and sweaters.

Great Fabric.
I agree with previous commenter that I used to reliably buy a l/xl. This top runs very small through the bust. I bought two of these and tipped the tags off of them and sent them to the ironing pile. I put one on yesterday and it’s too small I need a 1x at least. I must have 15 xl Eileen shirts in this same linen. They all fit. What a disappointment and waste of money. I started a diet today do maybe I can wear them this summer. I LOVE this style but the fit is messed up according to the rest of my EF clothes.

Cute, but there are issues
Cute style, and easy to dress up or down. That said, I wish it were an inch longer and/or the side slits were shallower.
The biggest issue, in my opinion, is the recent Eileen Fisher move toward styling with things fitting "closer at the top, wider at the bottom." Please, please, stop this. For those of us with larger busts or broader shoulders (or both), this particular design choice demands that we size up and tailor. Until recently, I could reliably choose a L/XL in EF clothing and feel confident that any top or dress would fit. Now, I have to choose 1X/2X in anything that's described this way and debate whether I like it enough to keep and have tailored. This top, the lovely Cupro dress (available over the holiday 2020 season), and a number of others are not benefitting from this new style/sizing choice. Given that the average woman's size is a 14, the implication is that we are not waifs. Please stop styling clothes as if we are.

Very Nice Top
I bought this in my usual EF size (1X) and the fit is perfect. Please note that, unless you are as tall as this model, the top is not as short as it appears in the picture. I'm 5'5" and the top comes to the top of my legs, which still gives me good coverage for a non-tunic top.
