I bought this wonderful pull over sweatshirt on sale and am so pleased. The fabric and fit are wonderful and I’ll wear it for years and years.

At home lounging
I have to admit I expected more out of this top. As others mention, the loop fabric is a weird choice. It snags on everything. The loops also lay in an odd way and make it feel rough when you brush against it. That said the inside is cozy and I really like the neckline as well (Bring back more wide and scoop necks, Eileen Fisher!). It’s great for lounging at home, but I wouldn’t wear it out as it already looked “worn“ after two wearings. But for all the downsides, I still find myself wearing it a lot - by myself.

I've learned a lesson
I kept this against my better judgment because I loved the color and shape and concept of the garment. I layered it over thin cotton turtlenecks. However, as I suspected, it did get a terrible snag in it across the front on the second wearing. It is a casual piece, not something you'd wear for dress up when you expect a garment to be fragile. I also had a lot of difficulty washing it. Hang to dry? It was like a wet towel. I laid it on a rack and it took over 48 hours to dry. It stretches out as the day continues on. Great design and color, just wrong fabric, at least with loops on the outside. It would be wonderful in boiled wool. I'll also ask for a refund, which I've never done with Eileen. It now looks like an old cotton bathroom rug.

Fabric too fragile
Problematic! This top is nicely cut and comfortable but the nubby terry fabric is very fragile - I had run like pulls in it at the first wearing. I would not recommend this piece. I have contacted customer service for a return/refund.
