Will fit some figures; good quality
Knowing this style is best for tall, slim figures, I like the fabric so gave it try. I assume I can hand wash rather than dry clean. Sizing is tricky as other reviewers said, but the 3rd pair, size 12, finally works. I'm 5'4 at 148 lbs and wear LP mostly, but 16 and 14p were way too large all the way. In Size 12 the waist fit well, and the loose hip area looks good on my straight body, although the drape may differ on a fuller hip or thigh. No itching - perhaps because the fit is quite roomy on me (except the fitted waist.) On me it's a very casual look, so the sale price is great, and I am happy to have high quality clothing for daily wear!

WOW Really a Steal sic.(Steel) at Sale Price
I am not sure why these pants did not take off, getting many negative reviews, possibly because they run small - size up from standard EF sizing. At 145Lbs, 5'7.5" size 10 was good. These pants are amazing. I have worn men's khakis w/the leg rolled a few times, as I love that look. W's khaki pants are slimmer fitting than M's relaxed fit khaki. These are my feminine alternative - hate looking like everyone else. I rolled the lag 2x and will wear them all winter long, w/tights when the weather warrants. I plan on cold water washing/air drying - oftentimes cleaning instructions are modifiable. Immaculately sewn, all edges turned under - beautifully finished, no sparkly threading w/steel - just an overall uplifting quality about them, not even a sheen to them. Cannot say enough - super highly recommended. An item you purchase more than one.

Wish they fit better
I loved the styling of these pants and wanted them to work so bad. The reason I had to return them was they were a bit too tight in the waist even though I got my usual EF size. I like how styling kept the hips slim while making the legs nice and wide. I loved the fabric which was a nice light weight, and I would have wanted to wear these pants as often as a great basic pair of jeans, but I couldn't begin to dry clean them all the time. Maybe if they were too big, I could have tried to hand wash them and hope they only shrunk to fit better. But that would have been too risky.

My skin is on fire
I have worn this pants once, I loved the way the fit when I tried them on, they look and fit great. I went for a walk wearing these pants and ended up taking the bus back because I couldn’t take the irritation, every step felt like razor blades on my thighs :(

Will have to return. Ill fitting, not what I am used to from EF. Too long a rise (and I am long-waisted) and too long leg (I am 5'7") and big in waist and tight in hips. Plus, having to dry clean would make me worry about what would happen to a material laced with steel if caught in the rain.

A Hidden Gem
I took a chance on these and really love them. The quality, style, and fit will make them a wardrobe staple for years to come. The steel threading is super interesting and adds to the overall quality of the pants. The only downfall is that they’re dry clean only. Otherwise very cute, comfortable, and stylish. They should last forever.

Cotton-steel pant
Interesting pant but too large and fabric much to heavy for my S.C. climate. Even in Petite, the length was too long and the pockets created a lot of bulk along with the full cut. Will be returning.

Can't get it Right
I ordered these pants in a si e 12 petite. When I got them and put them on they fit. However, they fit snug. They were a little uncomfortable. I don't like my pants tight and they were 100 percent cotton. I WAS AFRAID THEY WOULD SHRINK. I called and ordered the 14 Petite. When I got the 14 petite I couldn't button the pant. I went up a size and the pants did fit in the waist and seemed smaller. I had to return them today . I'm not sure third times a charm?

Love the fit and the fabric
Sizing is consistent with my past purchases of Eileen Fisher clothing— which means a great fit. I absolutely love the fabric too. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the pants are longer than on the model. I'm a "tall" petite but the petite sized pants still cover my ankles.

Hard to fit
I wanted to loved these, despite the unfortunate dry clean only directions. The fit is problematic: I’ve been an XS or 2 or 4 in Eileen for decades. In size 4. The waist and front opening are cut very small and short. In size 6, the rise is still too short, so that they pull at the crotch in an unflattering and uncomfortable way, while being wonderfully wide in the leg and loose in the waist. I tried an 8 and was swimming in fabric, while the pants sat on my hipbones. So — its a very particular and precise fit. I do love the fabric — body and structure, doesn’t cling or reveal, would make for a lovely light colored bottom if the unforgiving cut works. And if you don’t object to the unsustainable aspects.

Too bad, these pants are dry clean only! I don't wish to spend a fortune on dry cleaning.
