Unflattering Style

Loved the coats but
I had two of these coats that were my top favorites. They looked just great and I got a lot of compliments. Then I washed them. And I’ve never been able to wear them since.... it was like little razors on my skin. Bummer. After they sat in my closet for two years I finally brought them in to Eileen Fisher Renew. Dry cleaning is just not my style anymore.

Love it
This coat fits me well, but it is a bit oversized-I sized down. The material has a lovely guality to it, soft with a bit of sheen. It's medium weight, so take that into consideration. I'm 5'6 and it's considerably longer on me than on the model, but I'm okay with that.

Stand collar coat
This coat is different in a stylish way. The material is beautiful the color unusual but matched with jeans white t shirt it is stunning. I am 5’4” and got the small fits just right. Great for early fall.

Interesting - Wish it had worked for me . . .
I tried this a month ago thinking it would wardrobe well. However, the coloring did not work with me as an "Autumn" and the cut and length was like a heavy canvas sheath. The fabric is substantial and interesting, but the 'color/tone' lacks vibrancy. Seems it might work really well on a tall stately type who wears whites really well. I sent it back.

Simple sophistication
This lightweight cotton steel coat reminds me of some of EF's coat designs from years ago...very interesting 'crinkled' fabric with just a very very slight sheen (barely noticeable) and a simple style. This fit me TTS for Eileen Fisher. I ordered a size M and I'm normally a size 12 . It is a longer coat (below knees) and has ample room without looking 'oversized.' I haven't worn it yet because it's too hot where I live, but I look forward to enjoying it's versatility in the fall , early winter and spring .

This would probably look great on someone else, but on me, it looked as if I was about to take someone’s temperature. If you were tall and svelte it might not look like a crumpled lab coat, but alas, that’s what it looked like on me

A Must Jacket!
Great jacket, can be dressed up or dressed down. Tends to be a bit longer than I would personally like so I exchanged for a petite size. Wonderful material and fresh color that can be used all year round.
