Love this dress
This Dress is wonderful. Great material, light but substantial. I bought the coral color, it is beautiful....and fits very well. I m short (5'-5/1) and with a curvy sort of body type. PXL was a perfect fit

She who hesitates is lost.
Lovely dress flattering and cool cotton. Took a chance in the sale and ordered, but alas it was too big and had to return! When i checked again the dress had gone....Hope EF repeats the style.

Very Versatile Dress
I have the Eileen Fisher pants and jackets (past seasons) in this fabric and they have followed me to European travel. So, I decided to try the dress. The fabric is GREAT for travel as it can be washed and doesn’t require ironing. The dress is great solo and looks equally great with a denim vest or blouse.

Unsure about this one
Runs true to size. The material is stiff and wrinkles. I was hoping it would pack well but judging from how it came out if the packing box having second thoughts. On the plus side it isn’t overly.

This is a delightful, “of the moment” summer dress
This wonderful summer dress skims the body to create a summery look and feel in a very summery color. Perfect for any casual summer event, especially outdoors. Easy and comfortable to wear and the 15” flounce at the bottom makes the look. My usual size small fit my 5’ frame just about perfectly with the length hitting me just about at my ankle which I love. An XS might have fit a tiny bit better at the top but it wasn’t available. I would probably buy any color it would be offered in, but the watermelon is a great start.

Great dress for hot temperatures
Length is perfect. Dress fabric is very light and so cool in these hot temperatures. Washed in gentle cycle and hung to dry. Dries quickly.

Boring color and shape
The color is a "faded" coral and the shape is... shapeless ? I was ready to love this dress but I returned it without hesitation. Disappointed. I usually am a EF enthusiast.

Why was this not made in Petites?
I am so so disappointed. Even the XS was too roomy and this would have been the perfect summer dress for me -- so lightweight, airy fabric, comfortable, colorful. Don't understand why petite women were ignored when this was on the drawing board.

Pretty summer dress
I love these classic EF tank dresses (not too tight, not too loose) and this one is an interesting lightweight puckered fabric that's both pretty and holds its shape well. I'm short and for me the XS works well as a midi-length dress. The flounce at the bottom provides visual interest. Can be dressed up or down and will be great for travel. I have the seaweed (not offered on this site) and now want the black too!

Love this dress!
In contrast to the negative reviews, I adore the fit and fabric of this dress. I’m a 2X top and 3X bottom and purchased a 2X. I love that the arm holes are not huge and that the straps are wide so that my bra doesn’t show. Dress has lots of room for wide hips and flows well for me. I was drawn to the seaweed color and the fabric in the store, and have worn the dress at least once a week since purchasing. Fabric is easy to wash and dry in the summer. I would buy another color but the orange would not flatter me. I’m considering buying the pants and jacket set in the same fabric. If between sizes, size down.

First disappointment
For the first time, I was disappointed with a purchase from Eileen Fisher. The fabric is so hard that the dress can almost stand up on its own. Perhaps that will improve with washing. I do not like the fit (although that is probably my fault.

Summery Dress
I’m consistently XS in most EF. I sized up to S due to close cut underarms and also liked the additional 1” of length. The fabric is crisp but not stiff, think old fashioned seersucker. It wrinkles a bit but nothing like linen. A light steam and it’s perfect again. I bought in black, have worn 3X, with cropped denim jacket, white linen shirt tied at waist and alone. A work horse in my summer wardrobe, as it’s easily dressed up with nice sandals or down with sneakers and flip flops. I’m not a fan of flounces, ruffles etc. my style is very simple and minimal with an occasional twist. I was not bothered by the hem ruffle but I can see that the ruffle seam could hit in an awkward place on someone with a different body type.

Fabric is stiff, weirdly placed ruffle, runs large
I have a pair of pants in this fabric, so I thought it’d work- it doesn’t. It’s a stiff cotton and it makes noise when you walk, and the ruffle is right in the middle of my backside- not flattering. There’s no movement, and it wrinkles too easily. I had to size down as all dresses this season are too obersized. Gorgeous seaweed color, but that’s it.

Color is nice, the rest is a fail
I loved the watermelon color, and quickly ordered an L and an XL before they sold out. IMO, this dress is a total fail: 1) What IS this fabric? I expected a seersucker texture. Instead, it is slick and stiff and just plain weird. Is it coated with something that would wash out? 2) Why is the bust on the XL smaller than the bust on the L? 3) Why is the current EF design preference of "close at the shoulders, wider at the hem" used with non-stretch fabrics? There is no way a woman with larger breasts could wear this dress, unless she sized up by several sizes and then paid to have the voluminous tent removed from the bottom half. 4) Why are the interior seams so poorly done, esp where the ruffle is attached? 5) And finally, IMO the current tiered dress trend looks juvenile. It's less apparent when the fabric has some flow, but this dress just doesn't. I returned these dresses immediately.

Sizing runs huge
I was so excited to get this dress, I paid $20.00 for expedited shipping. It arrived today. I continue to have problems with sizes, either too large or too small. There was at least 3” of width on both sides but, the underarms were too tight, assuming you could alter the sides to fit. The fabric is somewhat stiff so, there is no drape. I ordered 2 tiered dresses, both 3X and the black jersey fits perfect so I will not be re-ordering this one as I have no idea what size will fit!
