Size is Way Off
The dress is exactly as it appears - the fabric is soft and attractive. But the sizing is completely off. I ordered an XS and it fit like a L - I could have fit two of me in the width of the dress. I have many Eileen Fisher clothes, including another somewhat similarly designed boxy linen dress, and I routinely wear XS. Not this time, unfortunately.

Cute casual light weight dress. It’s a good length and very comfortable. I think it is very comfortable and will wear it often. It fits loose but looks good with heels and sandals.it looks better than photos.

Love Eileen Fisher Cotton Gauze. Summer essential
Typical excellent quality from EF. The picante color is beautiful and will tradition well into out warm Texas fall season. Great as a dress with flats and a tote. Especially enjoy wearing it as an open duster over jeans with heels.

The Best Dress!
I only wear a dress for special occasions but this dress has changed my mind. Usually wear a L/XL but am best in a medium. Tried black, picante, but settled on the nocturne. I’m barely 5ft.4in, and the dress covers my shins mid way. Can get in and out of cars without worry. The side slits give me the ability to move and sit without the dress opening up and you can still some leg in an attractive way. I find it opaque enough not to have to worry about it being too sheer. Extremely soft, doesn’t wrinkle and great arm coverage.

Organic Cotton Gauze Mandarin Collar Dress Black
A useful piece. I wore it as a cover up straight off the beach to go shopping in. It has many uses as a more every day, run around town piece, or probably dressed up with bling. It's so soft, I will also use it as loungewear on those summery nights. I love it. It's very roomy in Size S, Black, for my 5'6", 35.5"-29"-37.5" bod. I really like the longer sleeves to cover my crepe-y arms.

Very comfortable
This was my first purchase at Eileen Fisher and I was unsure about sizing, so I went with my usual medium (5'6", 136-140, curvy). I definitely could have sized down in this but it is very comfortable and lightweight, perfect for Southern California summers and I've already worn it several times.

Not quite the summer dress I was looking for
I wanted to like it because it had all the elements I was looking for in a summer dress. Light breezy fabric, short sleeves to cover the upper arms and a midi length. Unfortunately the top portion was just too shapeless. Perhaps a raspberry or jewel color would have helped - the picante did nothing to enhance what looks like a house coat

Gauze is a great fabric for summer…light, cool and doesn’t need ironing. It can cling a little so usually wear a half slip or full if the color is light. Like the longer short sleeve and pockets and find the vertical button placket to be more slimming than last year’s pullover version. Sized down in this style but fit is still generous and little button gaping.

Could be a beautiful piece, on the right body
I have tried this particular dress in every color and multiple sizes, but try as I may, I cannot get it to work for me. First I fell in love with it in Spice, then in this lovely blue/gray. In my mind, I could picture this over a white tank and white jeans like a duster, and so wish that it was the right proportions to do so. It is just way, way too much fabric for me. Too droopy in the shoulders; too long in the sleeves; too long in length. It looks like a bathrobe or a very frumpy house dress. The color is sumptuous as is wonderful fabric, but I can't make it work. Sadly. I returned.

Great dress, covers the knees
I wish I had this dress with me right now in Rome, where it is over 100 degrees. Why did I not pack it? Probably because I didn’t have time to test-wear it before the trip. It fits nice and loose but not baggy. Slits maybe a little high. Pockets are great. I am very fond of this fabric which wears well, goes in the washer and dryer and comes up ready to go.
