perfect for pears.
I'm slim on top, small waist , chunky butt and thighs. The lantern shape is absolutely a gift to pear-shapes. I got size small, it skims over the chunks and makes the proportions look perfect.( Well, almost.lol). Hope this style remains popular, it really has improved the misery of pants shopping.

Pant fit has changed
This is the second pair of EF cotton pants I've ordered recently with a 10 1/2 inch rise and the rise is too short in back. In the past this rise measurement has always been a good fit for me in EF pants. Too short a rise in back is not a look I seek. Otherwise these are nice pants and I would have kept.

Love these!!!
I ordered the Petite S. I am 5', weight can range from 110-120, thx a lot menopause. Right now during this summer I am a bit heavier, they fit perfectly, even the length, and flattering. I will buy the white jean later, and I wish they came in more colors, would love to have these in black.

Roomier than last year's version
Last year I bought these pants in white and carbon--love them! A summer staple. Just received a new pair in Grove. Great color and fabric, well made. The patch pockets are new and welcome. However, while I like the stylish bagginess of last year's version, the new ones are noticeably wider--too wide. (Also longer than last year's, but that's fine.) Since I'm XXS, I can't return for a smaller size, but I like the pants well enough that I may try to shrink them and, failing that, turn them over to a local seamstress. (There went the sale savings!) Note to EF: When modifying an existing style, you could help customers by noting any changes in cut. Thanks.

Great Fit
I ordered medium in grove, which fits in with the grayish olive greens I have worn for years. The fit is very good and fabric is comfortable. The length is as described. Sometimes the ankle length is too long. I look forward to wearing it.

Wonderful Jeans
These pants are lovely. The fit and the color are perfect. These are These pants are extremely slimming and very comfortable. I liked them so much that I bought another pair and this morning the carbon in my size became available and I snatched them up. Please make more of these pants in blue denim and black.

Great pants--please make more!
I love these pants; I have them in both white and green and have ordered the charcoal. Please make these jeans in blue denim! Black and khaki would be nice too. And please make more lantern pants with an actual waistband and a zipper. An elastic waist is too casual for work and a lot of other places and is not flattering on anyone whose stomach is not perfectly flat.

Flattering, stylish jeans!
I really like these jeans. Very slimming for my pear shaped body. Nice weight fabric, not thin but not too thick. Same fit as the lantern jeans from last year but now with back pockets, which I love! I wear size 12-14 or 31-31 in most jeans and the medium fits perfectly. I'm 5'6" - the pants are a tad longer than on the model so I roll the cuff, because I prefer an ankle length. The color Grove is a great dusty, army green. I just ordered the Carbon color as well!

Fits well (size info)
My first pair of EF pants, so I just wanted to comment on sizing in case it helps anyone else; I really worried about the sizing despite the sizing charts (and frankly, I have trouble translating to my size, if a 5' 9" model can wear XS). I am 5' 1" and approx. 125 lbs and these pants (sized PS) fit me comfortably (the cuffs land just above my ankles). The fabric is comfortable but not quite what I expected for being called "denim" - definitely thinner than your typical blue jeans, but feels substantial enough to hold its shape.
