Love love this sweater.
I’m very happy with this sweater. I ordered smaller based on previous reviews that it ran large. It’s a great weight and length—ok for a short person if the pants fit tight. It feels good too!!

Loved this sweater in black. Got size M -- it was a bit large in the chest area. I am 5'6" and 34B and I was swimming in it. going back for the S. Great value on sale. And great construction as usual.

Why is this XL a 1X or larger?
I order the same sizes for a loose fit online, figuring if it's a little big, no big deal. I have the regenerative funnel neck in XL which fits like a L and I love it, so bought this for the wool, too. The regenerative wool knit is lovely. This knit is lighter weight, which is welcome, but IT IS HUGE! The mock neck was so loose, it expands open halfway to my shoulders. The sleeves are much longer than all my other XLs and wide, almost a kimono.
Perhaps it was mislabeled and in fact a plus size, but if not, I WISH EF WOULD EITHER HAVE CONSISTENCY IN ITS SIZING OR GIVE AN IDEA OF THE AMOUNT OF EASE INTENDED PER STYLE/SIZE SO WE BUYERS CAN DECIDE TO SIZE UP OR DOWN ACCORDINGLY. Or give a comparison to a well established style, such as "meant to fit like a box top." The size guide only refers to our dimensions but gives NO sense of how anything in particular fits. Ever! Also the models are not typical, being very tall and very thin, so those of use who are not have to guess or buy the same size and keep fingers crossed. I returned this. As I have other things in my usual size that did not fit :(
I buy a lot of EF so I'd like to save you all the cost of return shipping. Ease intended or dimensions of item would help immeasurably, pun intended!

Comfy, generous sized mock neck that doesn't strangle me. Love the bulkier weight yarn that gives in more of a textured look. Soft on the bare skin.

A comfortable and cozy sweater. It runs a bit large, but I like the roominess. The wool is a little heavier than past years' merino wool, but it still drapes well and is soft to the touch. On me, it is more of a tunic length which I like with last year's black ponte slim pants. I purchased both black and charcoal grey.

Wise investment sweater
This is my go-to sweater when I really need to get warm. I usually wear a top under my sweaters to prolong the intervals between dry cleaner trips. Often includes turtleneck tops for extra warmth. The smooth knit of merino wool is comforting. It’s such a well made sweater that will last for years. A wise investment piece that smooths my lumps & bumps.

Versatile, classy, comfortable
This sweater is very soft wool and feels like it will be pill-resistant as I continue to wear it. This is a great basic piece that will go with all of my cold weather clothes. The curved hem gives it a style edge so it is not too basic. I sized down one size since it looked generous in the photo. The fit is perfect. Love it!
