A bit disapointed in the quality and sizing of this vest.. I purchased a lightweight Shawl collar vest a few years back and thought would be the same quality & sizing.. My previous vest was a size large so thought would upsize to a XL.. this XL is smaller than the Large .. would have exchanged for a 1X, however 1X not available..Find EF sizing & quality a bit frustrating as seems no consistancy??

Lovely vest, just too light weight
It was a lovely vest, but the weight of the boiled wool was much too thin. I have several jackets and coats in the boiled wool, and I thought that this would be the same weight. I was disappointed that I had to return it.

Beautiful piece
The quality of the fabric and stitching on this vest is amazing. I’m in a layering phase of life and it has been perfect and makes me feel elegant. I wear it with both fitted shirt underneath and maxi dresses and it looks great with both. Best of all it is not itchy and I seem to be a bit more sensitive than many to wool.

I returned it today. The fabric was stiff and had no drape. The cut was skimpy. The only thing I liked was the color. I have a long vest from Talbots a few years old that I love.

I have bought quite a few of these through the years and I must say I was really disappointed in the quality of this vest - felt almost like tissue paper compared to earlier versions, so in other words a huge disappointment

Loved this product
I bough this shawl vest with a matching color silk blouse. The set in blue looks extremely fashionable with contrasting textures and an outstanding color. Love both items. But for the shawl vest I noticed it is sized smaller and it is lighter than last year’s shawl vest. You may need to size up for a better fit.

Surprisingly versatile
The sales associate suggested this piece to go with the same color dress. I was dubious, but it really elevates the look of the jersey dress. It can also be worn with jeans and a long sleeved tee shirt. The color is rich and the pockets are well placed. I think I’m going to get a ton of wear out of it

Disappointed
I really wanted to love this, but the fabric had zero flow. My wool coats offer far more movement. This was boxy, shapeless, stiff, and HUGE, even for EF. There was just so. much. fabric. And the arm holes fit, so I got the right size. Sizing down would have made the arms too tight and still felt like I was wearing a large cardboard tube. In contrast to the scarf and gloves I ordered at the same time, this vest didn’t feel luxurious or high-quality in any way.

What a perfect addition to my wardrobe
This vest is lightweight; the boiled wool is very soft. It is the perfect winter layer for dining out (cold drafts are deflected), or going to work looking put together with a turtleneck and a pair of black jeans. The fit of the medium is close to the body, but the armholes are not tight. l love the color, a deep pine green blue.

Lovely long vest
This vest is a great weight as it is not too heavy. It runs smaller than one I bought last year so I sized up. I bought the ruby -It is a lovely shade of red. Pairs well with skirts, pants or jeans. I bought the ruby sweater to wear underneath it too. Wore them casually with black corduroy pants and EF boots. It’s cozy and stylish. I hesitated due to my petite frame but took the plunge and glad I did. Perfectly proportional to my frame.

Beautiful Vest
Purchased this beautiful vest on Alpine and Wine. Love the length, drape and fabric weight. Both colors are beautiful. I will wear these vests layered over a light sweater or turtleneck. I also purchased some other items in the Wine color to wear with the vest. The vest can be styled with slacks, jeans. a skirt or the maxi turtleneck dress that recently sold out. It has multiple uses. I found the vest to fit true to size and is very slimming. A great purchase!
