Don’t like the placement of pockets in the sides.
I ordered a Large but it was too small for me in the opening. I’ll return it this week. I don’t like pockets either in the side seam rather than patch pockets

Beautiful wool Jacket
Nice Boil Wool however I was disappointed that the sleeves were to short. I loved the color the fabric but could not even turn up the sleeves not in one fold. I returned and with sadness because it is a beautiful jacket.
I am 6’0” and have never had a problem with EF sleeve length on jackets. Especially the boil wool jackets. It’s perfect for wearing in the office all day.

One of EF’s best colors
I bought this in the Barly color which is such a beautiful shade of brown—almost a taupe. I don’t care for or wear reddish “saddle” brown colors, and this color looks great with so many other colors, especially with black or other items in the same Barly color. I agree the boiled wool is a little thinner than other boiled wool items, but this jacket can easily be worn as a sweater—something a little different than just another sweater. I purchased the XL and it was not too oversized as I wanted a little extra room under it. I caught it at a really great sale price! Wouldn’t mind having the black, but I am so overloaded with black EF items.

Disappointing
I’ve been eyeing this jacket since it was first featured. When I saw on sale I quickly ordered. I was expecting the same quality as in other boiled wool jackets of this same style.
Wool is much thinner, fits like a medium rather than other comfortable size large that can layer over sweaters, etc.
Will return with disappointing outcome.

color perception
Color not clear in on-line ad. Looked more grayish, neutral beige visually, even though labeled "barley." It turned out to be more brownish than expected. Thankfully it was neutral enough to be acceptable tp buyer.

Beautiful Neutral Jacket
I purchased the Barley color, it’s a beautiful neutral to mix with brown or black pieces I already have. In EF tops I usually take a large but the medium in this is perfect. I previously ordered the barley cashmere scrunch neck sweater and scarf which layer beautifully with this jacket.

Another Boiled Wool Jacket YAY!
I several of these wool jackets in lovely colors but I needed a black one & now I have it!
For So California this is the perfect weight for all seasons & keeps me warm in winter here. Because it’s not bulky it is great for layering I can wear indoors if it’s chilly inside.

Beautiful garment! Elegant drape and soft, fine-textured fabric. Fit was as expected. I usually wear a small and it is roomy enough for a layer underneath without being at all tight.

Love this style: simple and classic
This is a great new version of the EF open jacket. It’s not as oversized as past versions. I am usually medium, sometimes small in boxy styles. In this I bought a medium, a generous fit but not too oversized. I love the shape and the pockets. It also looks good with a wide belt. The light gray wool is a nice neutral that goes with so much of the rest in my closet.

I purchased this jacket in gray and like it so much that I just ordered a second one in Maple Oat. The quality is up to expectations and the style is versatile and easy to wear. I’m packing some extra pounds and the fit is flattering. Even better, they’re on sale.

Love at first sight!
Just received this boiled wool jacket. The collar laid beautifully around my neck and it instantly became my favorite. This jacket has soft sophisticated straight princess lines which hang elegantly from the shoulders. The pockets are positioned perfectly. This jacket offers a great deal of flexibility as it can be dressed up or go casual. Can be worn as an outer layer or a warm cardigan. I chose the XS instead of XXS giving it a slightly slouchy attitude with pushed up sleeves which suites my style.

No Style, Nice Fabric
Really nice fabric but it’s like wearing a bag - there is just no way to make it look stylish. If you like big loose unconstructed clothing, this jacket is perfect for you!
