Just OK
I liked it but did not love it so I returned it. I did think it looked a little bath robe-y. Partly because of the color. I think the black would look better but was looking for something off-white or just not black.

Elegant Economy
Luxurious simplicity. Subtle color in the light wool. Warm, light to carry on the shoulders. I always buy a larger size, because I like the extra room for layering and ease of loose .

Season Spanning Staple
I purchased both the long and short versions of the Lightweight Boiled Wool Jacket / Coat intending to keep the preferred one. LOL! I kept both. The length makes them both unique and the Maple Oat color is a season spanning neutral. I wear the shorter jacket in place of a sweater. I love the clean lines, flexibility to roll the sleeves to bracelet length or keep them longer in colder temperatures & the drape. I can confidently wear my scarves without fear of snags on buttons, ,snaps or zips. The silky texture of the boiled wool was a surprise. This is not the boiled wool of old. Light in weight, yet warm. I reach for this jacket regularly. For reference, I am 5'9", jean size 30-31, 36B. I wear size Small in this Eileen Fisher item with plenty of room for layering.
The only thing that would improve this jacket would be for it to be washable... I will probably reach the point that I try hand washing in Eileen Fisher's TangentGC or The Laundress. If anyone else tries this I hope they will publish how it works out.

Perfect Fall Jacket
This jacket is perfect for Fall's transitioning weather. Living in Western Massachusetts, I get to experience a great deal of changes in weather---sometimes fast and furiously. This jacket takes all (except rain) in stride and always looks great. It effortlessly goes with me on errands, to the theater, and restaurants---whenever it's safe to venture out as it's getting to be more and more. It's soft but substantial and looks great over almost any outfit. I'm thrilled with this purchase!

Very versatile jacket
This is a great little jacket…very versatile. I have been wearing it for these cool fall days a lot. Bought it in a L so that I could put a light sweater underneath.

Iconic Jacket
This is the iconic Eileen Fisher Boiled Wool Jacket in the shorter length. I own several iterations of this jacket. It is versatile and perfect for Spring and Fall weather in Northern California.

Love wool
I love boiled wool. It's light weight and warm. I work in an office that is always cold. I wear wool from October through April. Quality and stylish wool is hard to find. Thank you.
