This boiled wool jacket is of lighter material than other boiled wool pieces I've bought from EF in the past. This did not work for me-shapeless and unflattering. I think it would work better for someone with a curvier figure.

Warm and Stylish
This jacket is so warm and stylish. It is a beautiful neutral color that goes with everything. The sleeves are a little long, but can be easily folded back to customize the length. There is a pleat in the back so the fit is loose and "flowy". You might want to consider going down a size. The shorter length makes it a little more versatile, in my opinion.

Beautiful! Eileen Fisher always does it in style. The fabrics, the fit, the luxury, all rolled into one. This color is amazing...I bought the jacket to be monochromatic with other pieces. I bought the pants, a light weight sweater and shoes all in this color. I feel so good in it.

Love this jacket!
Bought this in the Dove color—a beautiful soft neutral. I especially like the pleat in the back as it adds a cute swing to this piece. I often wear EF in Large, sometimes XL depending on style, but purchased this in a Medium. I tried on a Large, but I’m petite and it overwhelmed me in fabric. Medium was perfect with plenty of room given the cut of this item.

High collar jacket
Easy jacket to wear. Boxy shape - wide and short. I went true to size with a small, generally a size 8 in most brands. If it would have been less boxy I might have gone up to a medium for sleeve length. Looks great with the matching tissue turtleneck.

Another "Go-To" piece
I first bought "Deep Adriatic" (I love this color). Then I bought "Dove". I REALLY love this lighter color. I have not worn many unlined boiled wool pieces. Wool in the past (while a professional in office) was lined suit jacket At this season in life I needed additional warmth at home near windows or for out and about on mildly cold day. This light Merino is a pleasant surprise to hold my own body heat around me without getting TOO warm. It far exceeds cotton sweaters or bathrobes! This generous "swing" jacket style (box cut) allows movement in arms AND torso.

Investment sweater jacket
This feels like a silly price for a sweater, but only if you only think of it as a cardigan sweater. Ithas so much body that it doubles a softly structured suit jacket, and should be a timeless, wear forever piece. I travel for work and this is one of my capsule pieces (I also got one Ponte jacket and one boiled wool tailored jacket). This is twice as thick as the boiled wool suit separates, very soft, and holds its shape. I’m 5’2” 135 lbs and the petite small is right for me. The only think I don’t love is that the sleeves are too long. They must be rolled up, no option, so the look isn’t quite as polished. The dove is a warm taupe that reads almost grey, but obviously warmer so that it marries nicely with just about any color I can think of. I wear this with black, olive, teal, and dove from this year’s EF palette for the office and denim for polished casual. The Adriatic color is also gorgeous in person.

This one is a miss
Not what I expected. The fabric is bulkier than the boiled wool used in other jackets I've bought from Eileen Fisher, and the pleat at the back adds more bulk and makes the garment unflattering. It seems oversized, with extra fabric in the body and extra length in the sleeves. In addition, you can't see on the website that the colour is not solid but a sort of tweed, which doesn't go with anything I own. I'm disappointed and will be returning this jacket.

Eileen Fisher boiled wool is THE BEST!
Another surprise online sale find! I found this fabulous boiled wool jacket online after the Black Sunday sale and took a chance because I hadn't seen it in my local EF store...a lucky gamble, because it's just perfect - I ordered the deep blue in a size small and it's still generous enough to work over sweaters, etc...Eileen Fisher boiled wool is in a class above all others - I highly recommend because it's very soft, warm and lasts for many years. After receiving it in the mail, I wore it 3 days straight...thanks Eileen!

Highly recommend!
I had been eying this boiled wool jacket for some time and when it went on sale, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to purchase it! The Deep Adriatic color is a rich and beautiful darkish teal. It is a great neutral in place of black. As with most all EF items, this is a quality piece that will be in my wardrobe for a very long time. My usual EF size is small and in this piece the XS worked best for me.

Cozy Jacket
I purchased almost everything that came in Deep Adriatic. The jacket is great topper to pull an outfit together. Pairs well with the Dove vest and sheer knit turtleneck. It fits comfortably under the windowpane coat. No movement
restrictions. The sweater pin was a nice surprise. Love boiled wool. Very easy to style. I can see this wearing this year round.

Too Full!
I normally take a Petite Small in EF, but opted for the Petite Petite since it is a generous, boxy cut. The style is cute EXCEPT instead of draping gently, it bunches hugely at the back of the shoulder because of the horizontally cut yoke and back pleat. No amount of hanging out will remedy this design flaw because the fabric is dense. Were the fabric lighter weight the design may have worked (although there would still be excess material in that area!) but unless one has an extremely full back or plans to walk around like a scarecrow with arms held straight out, preplan to have this garment altered! Returning!
