Perfect warm weather raincoat
I love the color and the full cut of this coat which makes it comfortable for getting in and out of the car and the perfect raincoat in warm weather. I also like the fact that it has a hood which can be folded up and zipped away when it's not raining.

Love this jacket.
I love this jacket. Saw it in the window and couldn’t resist. The color, the fit, the fabric, the quality. I am 5’4” and 135. Purchased the small and it was too tight, exchanged for the medium and it is PERFECT. A little roomy but perfect to go over a sweater, etc. A perfect fall jacket for those cooler windy days. It’s my first EF garment, will not be my last. Can’t wait to order more layering pieces.

Uncomfortable Collar
The color is beautiful and I wanted to love this jacket. But, even the PP is too big and the stand-up collar is very high and uncomfortable to wear. I returned it. I would not recommend this jacket for anyone other than someone very tall. I'm 5'4" and usually wear a PP or PS.

Another versatile EF favorite
Like the linen tees, crepe georgette button down blouses, and some of the ponte pants, these nylon jackets are a dependently good purchase (I have them in two other colors, but this vibrant blue has become my favorite one). They are cut roomy enough to layer with a sweater. While I would wear a more substantial raincoat if it was pouring rain, these jackets are fine to wear when it just sprinkles or drizzles, as well as over a variety of tops or sweaters on windy day or on a calm cool morning or evening walking the dog or sitting on the porch.

Stand Collar Long Coat
This well-designed coat in a beautiful, lively color is great year-round in San Francisco. I love the stand-up collar and the potential head-covering if there's ever any rain here. Like having both snaps and zipper. It's a good length and I think it will machine wash well. I would suggest 2 additions for future coat designs: patch pockets in front and a light lining on the inside. I've worn it on walks with my dog and out to dinner, so it's very versatile.

Very pleased!
i tried this in store and bought it without hesitation. It felt lovely, smooth, comfy and the color exactly as pictured online. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about...seems like they got an entirely different item. I'm 5/41/2" of Asian 70 year old color palate, 130lbs and the fit is perfect!

Needs one more closure to be perfect
Gorgeous color and great fit EXCEPT that it really needs another snap on the front closer to the collar. Found that it gapped in an unatractive way without that extra closing -- it would have to be closed up tight to the neck, or open too much over the chest, Returned it, sadly.

This is the second jacket I have in this style- gray and now this blue violet. I could not resist this stunning color and, in fact, have a few other pieces in this color which I find irresistible. This jacket ( in the gray) has traveled all over with me because the fit very nicely suits my curvy body type and can go from casual to a bit dressy. The thinness if the material allows me to wear it on a warmer day and then layer over a light sweater for cooler days. I love the standup collar and elastic cuffs. A total winner!

Love the color
I love everything about this coat. the color, the stand up collar, the length. The petite sizing is appreciated. I ordered a MP and it fits like it was made for me. I'm taking it with me on my trip next month. It will be a perfect layer. Not sure how it will stand up to rain, but don't plan to be caught in any rain.

Great Color For Fall
This is the fall wind breaker I have been looking for. I love the color and lines of this coat. The stand up collar is a bit higher than I like as it will rub against my cheeks and get make up soiled. I’ve adjust to these kind of collars before and will again but do wish there were other options.

Beautiful Sharp Jacket
My husband bought this jacket for me for my upcoming birthday. I just picked it up from the Eileen Fisher store and, of course, tried it on to make sure it fit. Truly love it! The color is striking, it's lightweight, has a great length (I'm 5'-4", 150 pds and bought a medium). There's lots of room for a sweater if needed. Unfortunately, I have to wait another nine days before I can open my birthday present as the kind store manager wrapped it up for presentation.

Beautiful color, the rest is average
This is the same fabric that's been used by EF for two decades -- it's slightly water resistant, but definitely not water proof. I like the two-way zipper, but am not a fan of the elasticized cuffs, esp because I find the sleeves too short anyway. Once unfolded, the hood never fits smoothly back into the collar, which makes the neckline feel bulky. And, the jacket is not lined, unlike some other variations. Finally, while I love the Blue Violet color, the dropped shoulders of this jacket are a deal breaker -- they are so uncomfortable in a jacket you actually intend to move around in -- and if you're carrying a backpack or shoulder tote, the jacket bunches up under the arms because of the lowered shoulder/wide underarm. Returned, with regret!

Well Worth the Splurge!
I thought about this coat for a while. So glad I took the leap. The petite size is tailored just right. Neck line, shoulders, and sleeves fit beautifully. Must say that EF petites are sized just right (though pants are a bit long). I am 5' tall.
I live in the south and this will work for 3 of our seasons. It's a bit thick but roomy enough to layer sweaters with it. The coat is not for 100' summers (obviously) nor for northeast winters. Looking forward to using this in my travels at the end of the year.

NOT WATER REPELLANT AT ALL
No clue why this jacket has hood. Bought this jacket for a trip, started to lightly rain and I was soaked. Really disappointing from an otherwise great company. Don’t buy.

Disappointing
I was looking forward to Erving this jacket and was so disappointed with the fit. The sleeves were too short and the elastic at the cuffs look cheap. The length should be a little longer and the fit was off all around.

Cute Fall Jacket
I am very happy with this lightweight Fall jacket. It's roomy, but it doesn't look or feel overly large. I am kind of busty so I worry about clothing being snug in my breasts, but this is not a problem with this jacket.
