Bit puzzled, though, that none of the reviews mention the stiff rubber heel that, on me at least, is uncomfortable. Since there is thick rubber on the outside of the heel, it doesn’t really bend or flex with your heel when walking so rubs against your heel making it less comfortable than the shoe appears it would be. I had an older similar pair that I don’t believe had this same design (don’t have them any longer to look at to compare as I wore them to death since they were super comfortable) so I’m less enthused with this pair. I would, however, still recommend them to others as the other reviewers haven’t mentioned finding the heel an issue (may just be a problem for me) and they are very pretty, stylish, and otherwise would have been comfortable.

This iteration is more streamlined than others, and the toe box is slightly shorter and narrower. But they feel good and look fabulous. The last version I purchased started to separate where the sole is joined to the toe box, and I see that the sole on these are also glued to the shoe. This is why I'm holding back on a 5 star review. But for now I am very happy with my purchase and expect to wear these elegant but casual shoes with my ever expanding EF wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zoejeanne from Super. Comfy. Walking shoe, Love these. So comfortable from the moment I put them on. I normally wear a 7/37 but I ordered a 6.5 since there were no 7s available. I have a similar pair in a bootie style and they are also 6.5. You might consider sizing down a half size. There’s plenty of toe room and arch support. Great for walking.

They too, we’re black EF gym shoes!! These are as flattering and comfortable as my others. I can’t bring myself to get rid of them yet.

I did size a half size up from normal size and they fit snugly and feel supportive and extremely comfortable. I wear Ondo thin socks with them which don’t slip or twist. They look smart and feel even better. I love everything about them including the protective toe and heel guards that keep them from scuffing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NYShopper from Good for Travel but Have Issues These shoes worked miracles during a weeklong work event. In addition to two full travel days through multiple airports, I was on my feet or walking around for many hours on each day. I wore these 4 out of the 5 days. My feet never hurt or got blisters, despite the shoes being brand new when I left my home for the airport on day 1. Other people talked about how much pain their feet were in after each day. I never experienced that. The sole is very comfortable. I found the perfect travel outfit to be these shoes, a black t-shirt, and very dark blue skinny jeans with super stretch and an inseam that goes below the ankle. The reason for 4 stars is that the only way I could get these to fit snugly was to wear thick socks. With thin socks, my right heel slid toward the left, which it's prone to do when a shoe doesn't have proper ankle support. These are knit shoes, so they have to fit snugly in the ankle to work. The toe box was tight, too, and my toes became numb at times. If EF would make a version of these with a leather heel and the option to choose Wide or Narrow, they'd be the perfect travel shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by groovygrrrl3000 from Cool looking sneakers I sized up as they are narrow. I usually wear 7.5 in EILEEN FISHER shoes. I sent back the 7.5 and ordered size 8. They fit and I will wear foot slim socks with these. If you can try them on in stores to get the correct size and bring you socks to test with.
