Must have classic jacket.
I have two of this jacket because I love it so much. It’s beautifully designed, comfortable and great linen quality. I wear it a lot over comfortable pants and jeans.

Nice fabric, nice jacket!
This jacket is very flattering. It is oversized. I went down one size. The larger jacket looked good, too, but I am hoping to lose some weight (as always) and, anyway, I prefer a slimmer look. I purchased it in Zinc and love the color. However, the natural is still tempting.

feels as if you are a French plein air artist!
I am a petite (~5'5") plump apple and I LOVE this jacket, think everyone should get it. I got it on a whim and boy am I glad I did: putting it on I am telling you it took me from my remote-learning / minivan driving / mountain west suburb-living reality (which I love, all of it) straight to the fields of Provence. I tried it on over my leggings and tee (my pandemic pause goal, besides not getting sick, is Michelle Obama arms + shoulders [any day now ...]) because that's what I was wearing and with that jacket I looked So Good. Like I could've (if I were, that is) gone out as is and looked more than stylish, that kind of stylish we Americans ascribe as French. If I knew how to tie that scarf around my neck I'd be set.
The jacket looks great and flattering; I don't think it is oversized enough to go down a size (as some EF requires). While a heavy linen it has a beautiful, soft drape without looking frumpy or sad (as one might expect from a heavy linen, like a burlap sack -- no no no). I truly think everyone should get this jacket.

Beautiful, stylish jacket!
It is a beautiful jacket that is well made. I hangs on the body well and the quality of the linen does not allow the jacket wrinkle easily and look like you slept in.
I am so glad that I bought this jacket and I will treasure it like I do my other Eileen Fisher pieces. So Eileen Fisher!

Versatile Casual Jacket
I loved wearing this all summer. Much more flattering than the photo, the fabric drapes well and moves beautifully with the body. Not dressy, but great to throw on with casual clothes. Liked the Natural so much that I bought the Zinc on sale. Washes and hang-dries beautifully, no need to iron of you like the linen lived-in look.

GREAT BASIC

I've been trying a lot of things by mail (thank you, Eileen, for the free shipping and returns--it DOES encourage shopping!). I thought this piece was a stretch but it's a keeper. The heavy linen has real presence; to me it would be entirely too hot for the summer, but that means it will be great for fall and spring. I got the zinc as an alternative to yet more linen color, and while a lighter hue than some of the other zinc pieces this season, it's quite nice. I get tired of the hi-low hem (enough already!) but it doesn't bother me on this. I like that I can wear the jacket with jeans around the neighborhood or really dress it up, and I love the pockets. It is large, but I found my usual Eileen M was fine. But I'm tall; if I were petite, I probably would need to size down to avoid excess bulk. If on the fence, try 2 sizes and send 1 back.

Natural Kimono Type Jacket
Fabric is definitely heavy as mentioned in the description. Heavier than I was expecting. Useful here in the Pacific Northwest but maybe too much where summers are warm. It has a nice drape.

I really love this piece! I sized down becuase it runs large but I love it for a casual 3rd piece with the sleeves rolled up. Works great with jeans, skirts/dresses and even joggers. The natural color is perfect to compliment everything.

Dynamite jacket!
I love, love, LOVE this jacket! It drapes beautifully, can be dressed up or down , is very comfortable to wear AND it has pockets!! With the neutral color, it can go pair with pretty much any other colors. For me, living in a very warm and often tropical climate, this will take me through most, if not all of the year. Definitely a staple in my wardrobe. Suggest buying a size down from your usual sizing.

Versatile for every event
Such a great piece! The weight of this linen jacket is heavy, unlike handkerchief linen, so you don't have to worry about the odd wrinkle. This will be great for cool evenings or very chilly AC (when we can go out again). I'm sure I will have many opportunities to wear this piece.

Linen jacket not right for me.
I was interested in this jacket as it is a heavier weight lines and I liked the color. It was, typical of EF, well made with a substantial linen. The fit of the jacket around the neck, shoulders and front lapel was superb on me. It laid smoothly and was really flattering. My problem with it is sadly was a few things. I did not like the square cut of the front corners at the bottom of the jacket, the patch pockets (which I wasn’t wild about to begin with) really emphasized the square cut on the bottom and the jacket doesn’t fall straight from under the arms but rather flows out, making an excessive amount of fabric around the body. I like loose clothing but this was too much. If I could re-do the jacket, I’d put rounded curves at the bottom of the front openings and welt pockets instead of patch pockets. I did return it.

Easy and unconstructed
Love the pockets and roomy cut. The heavy linen fabric will resist wrinkles, but I felt it was a bit scratchy. I had planned to wear it with tank tops and sleeveless dresses underneath- so I returned.

Perfect summer jacket
This is one of those perfect Eileen Fisher pieces: casual but pulls together a look out of your odds and ends. The jacket was bought to replace a summer favorite which after ten plus years finally had worn through. This jacket is crisp not easily wrinkled; simple without extra details to crumple. As I tried in on over a T-shirt and super casual crops, my husband says, “the jacket makes even that look good”.
