I ordered my normal Eileen Fisher shoe size 9 and the length is fine but my heel slips when walking. The reason I kept them is that almost all shoes feel a little loose on my feet until I actually go out and walk around in them but so far my heel keeps slipping. I am sure I will find the right insoles to remedy this. The shoe is otherwise great looking with excellent support in the arch. The elastic on the bridge of the shoe is very soft but supportive. I am sure with the right fit these will be shoes to walk all day in.

They are beautiful, the uppers fit well, the elastic at the top hugs my foot, the lining is well-sewn and soft, and the leather broke-in immediately. But not the sole and heel! The heel and sole are VERY stiff and harsh, leaving me with arch pain following each of three wearings (I wear a thin arch insert, so there's nothing different there from my other shoes), I'm going to have to find a new home for them. I've had similarly styled shoes in the past from other brands, and for the cost of these I would expect the same quality, however these are nothing but painful. I picked up a pair of Milo oxfords as well, and they are harsh as well! Yikes. Really disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Sized larger than most EF shoes. Returned Usually, a 7.5 is just right. Definitely would have needed a 7 or smaller but just returned these as the totally flat sole would not have been ideal for my NYC walking-miles-daily lifestyle.
