A Derby, not an Oxford
The Derby is less formal than an Oxford because the laces don't cinch up until the leather meets, there is a gap. That's just one reason I love these shoes. The man made upper material has a fuzzy texture which makes them feel a bit casual too. I've tried many loafers, but my heels slip out when walking. Keeping my foot laced in prevents this. The bone color is a beautiful neutral that goes with all my brown and beige pants. I wear "no show" nylon socks that allow some skin to show between my pant leg and shoe which is very important from a stylist's point of view. The first thing I do after unpackaging is spray the shoes and laces with a scotchguard type waterproofing. It helps keep the shoes from picking up stains. I've ordered three pairs because I can't find anything close to these that I love as much

Poor support
I wanted these shoes so much, but unfortunately the leather is a hard leather for my feet. They are also lose in the back and not a good support for a New Yorker walker like me.

Nice Oxford
Been waiting for a shoe like this to wear with a few EF outfits of a similar color. I read the reviews and went up 1/2 size though I think my usual size would have also been fine as my feet are on the narrow side. There is a little slipping in the heel but will fix that with a heel liner (have narrow heels so generally keep the liners around). I will likely spray with a stain guard before wearing as they may not clean up very easily and I would not want to destroy the material. Very happy with this purchase and even better was that I got them on sale.

perfect color and style, fits tight & narrow
perfect color and style, fits tight & narrow. and the heel is quite stiff. I do not have wide feet. hope they will break in as I love the look of the shoe.

Great quality
This is a well-made quality shoe. One of the nicer flat shoes I've tried. It seems a bit narrow and my foot tends to be more on the narrow size. Hopefully, will stretch a bit. If you have a wide foot, not for you. It's slick on the bottom so better to scruff the bottom if wearing on slippery. would recommend
