Unique Jacket
This jacket has a beautiful texture and is incredibly soft. I love that it's cozy but not too heavy. I have the sense it will be relatively breathable so I won't overheat in it. This is not the first time I've needed to size down for an EF Jacket. I'm 5'4, 130 pounds. In EF cardigans I usually take an XS. This jacket in XXS was perfect.

I wish this item had worked for me...
I really wanted to love this jacket but it was not flattering on me. I am not sure if this is the fault of the jacket or if it just did not look good on me, so if you are reading this you should probably make sure to read through all the reviews. I am a size 12, curvy, 5’7”.

Extremely Poor Quality Fabric - Sheds
It was only after I wore this jacket (and therefore was unable to return it) that I realized that the fabric was of poor quality and sheds like crazy. Since the jacket was presumably designed to wear with black, you would have thought that someone would have noticed this issue before the jacket was put into production. Not just big pieces of lint, but both my black top and bottom (which do not normally attract link) were covered in white frizz. I am extremely disappointed and at least feel grateful that I purchased this jacket at a discount. Eileen Fisher has been steadily raising its prices and, in many respects, I do not believe that the quality of the fabric and production have kept pace.

Not for me
I ordered a size medium. Body structure for size 10-12. Fabric is beautiful. However it is not flattering on; it’s too wide and boxy. If I kept item, it would require much alterations to be a a nice fit for me. Plans to return.

This is a great little jacket. Love the cotton fabric...the feel, color and drape. Only issue was that it left some lint on a black top I was wearing; hopefully with some wear, that will stop....

Handsome fabric, perfect fit.
I love that it's handwoven. Fit is perfect in my petite size; even the sleeves are just a smidgeon too long (easily remedied by turning up the sleeves an inch). An heirloom piece I never could have afforded at full price.

Even better with wear
The more you wear this, the more it conforms to your body. The cotton is baby-blanket-soft and the woven texture is striking and adds depth to any outfit. I find myself hugging myself just because it feels so cozy! Purchased usual EF Medium and it has a generous overlap in front to accomodate layers.

Living in San Diego I know I'll use this jacket well into winter. It's soft and cozy and just the right weight. Easy to wear with jeans or slacks.....Eileen Fisher takes up a major portion of my closet. It's roomy so I ordered an xxs, which is perfect.

This is a Peruvian cotton black and white checked jacket with a shawl collar and
two patch pockets - Ultimately relaxed and refined. It is easy to wear and feels
great - I have this cotton herringbone design in other Eileen Fisher pieces.

Super Soft and Versatile
If you’re considering this jacket, go for it, you will not be disappointed. The woven cotton results in a soft, beautiful texture that can be dressed up or down. I am noticing some fuzz left behind on the rest of the outfit, but a quick pass with a lint roller fixes it.
