Just missed the mark
Love the design and color options but I have to agree it is just too thin and delicate. Understand it is a good layering piece but I am afraid it just won’t withstand a couple of washes. Just a little more weight to it and I would of purchased multiple colors.

Buying my third color
I bought the serpentine color at a dept store and loved the color, fit, style, texture etc... I understand the critiques of other reviews concerning the thin knit/fabric, and I would agree it is on the thin side. However, I do like this feature...it will allow me to wear in three seasons and change from wool pants/skirts to a silk or crepe version and remain warm in a cooler office setting, while still adjusting my wardrobe for the seasons. This is a good investment! Layer a silk tunic/tank under it and you have a bit more interest in your day's outfit... many options. I bought the sea salt color and now am back for the black version.
Fits TTS for EF styles/sizing...

Great Layering Piece
As a Chicago area resident, this is more of a layering piece for me, than a stand-alone sweater. It works well under a cardigan or jacket. It is well worth the sale price.

Perfect sweater
This the perfect sweater weight for the climate here in DFW. It is comfortable, neutral and thin enough to layer. The size is true to my standard and is very easy to wear. I’m considering a purchase of the same item in another color!

Great sweater!
Recently started wearing my charcoal sweater often because of the colder weather. Love the cut and fabric and xs works well on my 5’2 frame. It can be worn alone or with a crew neck or blouse. I love it!

versatile piece
Soft non itchy material feels good against the skin or as a layering piece over a shirt or turtleneck. For the bay area this is good to wear all year long. Also a wonderful travel piece.

Save yourself the effort of returning this sweater
I was shocked at the poor quality of this sweater, very loose knit, extremely thin, certainly see-through, not what I expect from Eileen Fisher at all. I have many merino sweaters from Eileen Fisher collected over the years, this latest rendition doesn’t come close! If I could have given this sweater a zero rating I would have.

Alpine sweater
Bought this item for full price. Always bought on sale or at consignment stores. On a trip with my sister in Stanford Mall. I feel luxurious wearing my new sweater.

3 years fell apart
I bought this sweater on sale for 200.00, wore it to church and dinner, maybe 14 times, got alot of little holes. Sent it in and they gave me 30.00 credit, they have nothing under 150.00. Would of loved to have the sweater back, could wear around my house. Disappointed.

scratchy
Have been looking for a light gray (as opposed to charcoal-gray) sweater in this exact style. Would have been perfect if it were in cotton-blend, cashmere or the usual merino wool from Eileen. So disappointed that it's a scratchy wool, as noted by other reviewers.

Versatile sweater
Nicely versatile sweater in useful black and charcoal and the lovely new Alpine color. Wish the merino were a tad softer, but it's still a great sweater and the sleeves aren't too long so it works for Petites. Am usually a PS and the XS in this works well for me.

Unaffordable
I am Canadian and have been buying Eileen Fisher for years both in stores in Canada and online. The Canadian prices are ridiculous and seem to be a ripoff currently.

Itchy sweater
Unfortunately, I had to return lightweight sweater - very itchy. Runs just a bit large, but drapes well.

Perfect Basic
Very basic crew neck merino layer. Got in Charcoal for under Charcoal merino wrap but very versatile on its own. A little boxy but not too much. Usually an XS or S in EF, got the S.

Pretty sweater
This is a nice basic sweater with a classic fit that’s not tight or bulky. The material is a light weight wool that may be a bit scratchy, but is still very wearable. The sleeves are just wrist length so not overly long. The fit is true to size. For reference I am 5’ 2” 138 lbs and the Small fits great.
