Needs Drawstring or Something ASAP
Please Eileen Fisher designers put at least a few more drawstrings or something that can adjust the waist size in your collections and across the fabrics. Without a drawstring the waist of the pants need to be rather snug so keep them from falling down. Yet a smidge too snug for someone like me with sensory issues the snug elastic on my waist becomes painful to wear. Basically this means the pants have the perfect size elastic waist were the elastic is snug enough to keep the pants up but not too snug to be the cause of major discomfort. Also the weight and waist size of women is constantly changing. Rather it be wide swings or not, it still effects the snugness of the elastic waist. I’m guessing EF gets tons of returns because there’s no way to adjust them to our exact, yet constantly changing, size. It may seem elastic waists add to the flexibility in sizing yet the waist measurements have to be a quarter inch either way from “the perfect fit” for them to work. With so many styles and fabrics this makes size consistency almost impossible. Definitely not a mistake of any kind, it’s just the nature of having many styles with many different fabrics. For some people elastic waists work great or are at least tolerable. Yet for many others it’s extremely limiting as a “snug fit” to keep the pants up is uncomfortable even painful. The solution doesn’t need to be a drawstring. I’m sure the design team could use current solutions and even invent new ones. For example, little hooks or buttons have been used for wool and heavier fabrics. For lightweight fabrics perhaps a sort of wrap pants with a side tie, or a tie on each side of the waist or off center that become a unique design element as well. The solutions can be as beautiful as they are stylish and fashion forward in their design. Without “adjustable to perfect fit sizing” in all the pants it leaves all of us in the middle of sizes and all of us that have fluctuating weight on our waists to constantly make returns to try to find the elastic size that best fits for this exact moment. Overtime some customers will abandon the brand over these issues. Unfortunately in these years of increasing climate destruction we need more people using their purchasing power in ways that help protect our environment and give people a just and living wage for their work. We need more people to shop consciously for clothing. For someone like me that means the fit must be long lasting as well. Without a sizing mechanism on pants, once they feel snug I can’t wear them. So can I believe these pants are an investment for more then 5 years when slight shifts in weight and increase pressure on the elastic waist render the pants unusable?

Lovely but runs big!
This is a lovely pant but definitely size down. I am petite (4'11") and almost always wear a petite small but I had to return these for the PP size.

Disappointment
I was told this is a replacement for the discontinued System Jersey trousers. It may be a replacement, but it's not equal in quality, fit or comfort to the System trousers. Over the years, I must have owned at least 15 pair of the System jersey trousers. They were perfect. These fine jersey straight pants are ill fitting. They are too long and just hang without any fit. I ordered petite medium. These pants are neither. I purchased them for travel. After the first wearing, the elastic unraveled in the waistband. I've never had that happen with any EF garment. I won't be purchasing any more of these.

Very comfortable, but size down
These pants are comfortable and great for traveling, but since the fit is very relaxed, I'd definitely recommend sizing down.
My only real complaint is the pockets. Since the material is thin, the pockets aren't really sturdy enough to hold anything and they make the front of the pants look bulky. I'd love a version with a slightly heavier jersey knit and no pockets... also more colors!

It’s very long and easy to trip over low heels. I’m 5’8” so a surprise. The pockets are odd, and additionally it runs very large. Go down at least one size, but I am not recommending this pant.

Finally! Full length!
Beautiful, soft, very lightweight, flowy pants with pockets! Think of these like super lightweight, luxurious sweet pants!! Love, love, love just out of the package. The size XS fits me loose and perfect for my liking and are as long as dress pants on me. I do not wear heels but do wear EF Eddie shoes that add to my height. Good sneakers are thick soled too. These are perfect for me and I just ordered a second pair. Perfect summer pants. For reference, I’m 5’4” & 130.
