Part puffer, part wool jacket. A hooded coat with a quilted body and boiled wool at the sleeves and trim. Made with a recycled nylon weave that keeps warmth in--and waste out of landfills.

Close at the shoulders, wider at the hem. A silhouette that fits the body with ease.

I was looking for something that would keep me warm in the autumn wind but didn’t need to cope with really cold winter weather. It fit me perfectly, I felt well-dressed and comfortable during the very long day - perfect for the occasion.

That coat has a fleece lining that makes it perfect for chilly weather. This coat’s nylon lining is not only thin, it creates so much static electricity that it is unwearable. I had to return it, which is too bad because it’s a good-looking coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan SF from High quality, great details, versatile, classic I wear it mostly to evening events in SF, in the fifties now. The sleeves fabric is unusual. It’s forgiving if you put on a pound or two. It’s so lightweight, the quilted fabric slim, I was afraid it wouldn’t be warm enough. It is just right. Walked blocks in it in perfect comfort; it’s loose enough, moves well. Sleeves are a little long; I folded/rolled them up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Petite One from Warm and astonishingly light I have never cared for "puffer-type" coats on petite women like me - makes one look like the Michelin man. It was also difficult to imagine a "lightweight boiled wool." I was so surprised however, that neither of those characteristics was true for this excellent garment! It was so light I weighed it - came in at less than 1 lb. It is warm without bulk or weight amazing. Love it.

I live in a milder climate and have been looking for a coat for the last few years. This coat has style, a hood, great features, feels good, is the right weight for where I live and looks great on me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Windy City Sister from More like a shell than a coat I purchased this coat to replace a puffer that needed to be retired. It has many features that I like. The boiled wool sleeves are attractive and sets the style apart. The length works for my apple shape…doesn’t cut off at the waist or high hip like so many of this style. It is a bit streamlined for this style of coat. I wish that it were a bit heavier weight. It’s really like a shell. During the coldest months of winter, it will definitely need a vest underneath, so take that into consideration while sizing. For those living in mild winter zones, I’d size down. It’s a bit boxy. I’ll also have to get used to the sleeve length. Unrolled, they are very long. Rolled up to the seem, they are short. Will figure it out.
