Design Flaw
I returned this coat after purchasing online. EF seems to continue to turn out garments with the same design flaw over and over for unlined jackets and coats with shawl collars and slash pockets. Since the garment is meant to be worn casually open, it clearly shows the inside of the pocket dangling and hanging visibly on each side. It spoils the entire presentation. Please consider patch pockets on these designs instead - I have an ages old EF unlined boiled wool coat with shawl collar and patch pockets that has been my go to coat for more than a decade. I was hoping to replace it since it’s a bit tired, but even in its tired state, it’s far better than this ill-conceived design.

Love! Perfect in every way :D
I don't usually like winter, but this coat could change my mind!! I cannot wait to wear this stunning coat! So soft, and cozy...perfect in every way: color, comfort, weight of coat and material, the way it hangs, generous hood and pockets... Love the long arms good down or cuffed. Coat is a generous cut, but I sized up to accommodate winter clothing under, and I found that I love it even more!!! My usual EF size L fit, but found the XL to be a more luxurious look and feel. I am ALL about comfort. I will wear this coat EVERYWHERE and with everything. From running errands in sneakers, to my best boots, cocooning myself in warmth this winter at the best restaurants and shows in town. Ps. Husband loves it too! Now that is saying something ;) Love it!!!!!!!!
