Disappointing
I usually like all EF clothing but this caftan was a disappointment. It’s just one piece of fabric with a hole for the head. I will be returning.

I love this!
I purchased this kaftan and I looove it! I was surprised that it was open on the sides bc usually they are sown. However, it gave it more flair and still looked sleek. I’m going to order the grey. So flowy and felt great wearing it.

mysterious and unusual...!
I ordered the size 1X/2X in black even though I'm usually a size L/XL in Eileen Fisher clothing because I thought the larger size would be looser or longer or wider?
I don't know how the sizes differ for this garment. Anyway, the larger size fits me just fine. This garment is so mysterious and unusual, The black linen gauze fabric is slightly crisp and doesn't feel fragile or flimsy -- it is an airy and loose weave. There are no side seams. I think it will look best over a tank (although I wonder if a lightweight turtle neck would look OK underneath? A crew neck top didn't look great under it). Perhaps worn with with loose pants or tights? I like the way the Caftan is modeled with all black underneath. I haven't yet worn it, but I think it will be nice on warm days because I like to cover my shoulders and upper arms to keep them away from the sun. Somehow, I just had to have this caftan because it is like nothing else...I could wear it to float down the neighborhood sidewalk on a hot summer day, with a breeze blowing the linen fabric, and feel like a mysterious presence...
