Great dress
This dress is great! It is very slimming over the hips. I am 5'2", 107 lb. Size PP is perfect. I bought the matching cardigan, too. It will be good for travel since I can twist it.

Comfortable and cool.
Fit is true to size. Wore in the Bahamas and was a great evening dress with a silk blazer. Also wore during the day with a scarf. Love this dress!

Mix feelings about this one
I was forewarned by all the reviewers who said this is nuisance to care for, but I wanted to try it on anyway. I got my size and one size down, and I think my size, PM, is the best. I'm 5'2" 135 pounds, curvy pear shape with a tummy. The pleats absolutely do relax and I pre-relaxed it quite a bit by stretching out the pleating and smoothing it out to see what it would look like after several hours of wear. I decided I like it better relaxed than tightly pleated and I kinda wonder if that is actually the intention. The texture is more subtle this way, and IMO the dress moves better. It's far less stiff. So don't size up, otherwise it will be a shapeless sack. I am pear shaped and when the fabric is tightly pleated it clings to me like a sausage casing and emphasizes my 55+ tummy, but relaxed it skims and floats. I don't like the matchy bolero and scarves and long sweaters shown in EF styling. I think it will look better as a foundation / slip dress to show off a kimono top. A note about the color: the geranium isn't as saturated as the linen in the same color, it's softer, more raspberry, like the styling photo shown with the geranium scarf / pareo; therefore it's a spring palette color, not a summer, if you're on the fence about the pink. I was going to send it back after the try on and wait for one of the blues or greens to go on sale, but dang it, I think this is a keeper for me. I'm a huge fan of spring pinks. One reviewer pointed out that it will loose its subtle sheen when washed. Yep it's going to get flat, and the pleating will make up for sheen with light/shadow contrast. I honestly don't think EF is doing anyone any favors by using a traditional lining fabric as a garment fabric (note that habotai is very very inexpensive by the yard, just google it). Here's the saving grace for anyone in a hot climate: because it's light as air--and I mean you will feel completely nude in this dress--it's perfect for layering on a 100F day. So I will be making a boxy kimono style top to wear with this (and so I can go braless) and just deal with the wash and twist and dry routine. I will looking for reasons to wear it. I'm giving it four stars for the fabulous color and the texture which, honestly, is very difficult to DIY from scratch (you'd have to do an insane amount of math figure out the crinkle shrink to garment ratio, and it's a three piece tiered pattern). I think the other draw backs make this a fussy wardrobe piece. Just know what you're getting and plan accordingly!

The Perfect Dress
I bought this in a size smaller than one I already own in another color. The Medium is perfect for me. I am taking it to a company meeting in Florida and will be pairing it with white leather, Paul Green sneakers and a white cropped cardigan to wear to a dinner function at a beach restaurant. The fit is flattering and it's a very comfortable dress. Very pleased with this purchase and hope they bring in back in more colors.

Loved this dress at first
I bought this dress for a wedding. Loved the color and the fit. Slowly it smoothed out. Asked a friend who is in the fashion business about what could be done. She was very surprised silk was used for this crinkled dress. Should have been “pleat poly”, That’s the only fabric that would hold the pleat. Now I’m out a good amount of money.

My Favorite Little Black Dress
I just checked for a second color, and up popped the Steel. I'm delighted. This fits my 5'1" body perfectly, is lightweight and comfy, and easily transitions from summer to winter with a change of jacket.

Disappointed After Washing
Had a nice dinner out in my new silk dress, then hand washed to get a stain out. Stain came out, but the dress lost it's sheen (I used mild liquid soap and lukewarm water). Very disappointed.

Love the design but not the fit
While I love the concept of this design, the fabric and fit did not work for me. Unfortunately I am returning both the dress and matching cardigan.
FYI I’m a curvy shape Petite M. Probably looks great on a straight shape body.

Be creative!
Love, love this dress! So light weight, packs easy. Example - heading to NYC for a conservative event w-end. Packing this dress with 3 different tops to over the top 1/2 giving the dress a somewhat skirt-look. 1 dress, 3 completely different looks. Bonus - all also were the tops w/ pants when being a side-bar tourist. A win-win!

How to keep the shape of the dress
Several of you have mentioned that the dress has lost its shape after wearing. When I received my dresses, they were very loosely twisted in the bag. Because of this, I wanted them to be tightly twisted to keep their shape before wearing. I washed the dresses and twisted them very tightly before wearing. I also keep the dress twisted tightly in my drawer instead of hanging it on a hanger. You may need to read my earlier review on how to twist the dress tightly. The key is to tightly twist the dress and keep it in the twisted shape in the pretzel form until wearing.

Became a baggy sack by end of day
The dress was beautiful right out of the box, but by the end of the event I wore it to, the lovely crinkles were gone and it became an unflattering sack. I am 5'1" and the length was fine. 114 lbs, got petite size small.

Disappointing Poor Quality
Purchased the Crushed Silk Tiered Dress in Steel PM for travel. The dress does not keep its shape and looks baggy and rumpled after a day of sightseeing. Upset with the quality of the product and disappointed with Eileen Fisher.

Dress relaxes over the day and becomes baggy
This dress took a while to arrive and I used it for a work event. As the title says, over the day it became baggy an fit did not look good by the end. Now I cannot return it… I am really disappointed ☹️

A Perfect Dress for a Capsule Wardrobe
Beautiful fabric! Wonderful fit! Versatile style! This dress is beautiful, comfortable, and wearable on its own with sandals or sneakers in summer, or with a sweater and boots in colder weather. Will certainly be worn on repeat!

Dress is horrible and not quality I would expect
I bought this dress for a business trip and was horrified when I wore it to a party when the wrinkly fabric slowly became smooth so it looked like a huge sack on me. Very expensive and lack of quality. Would like my money back

I have always loved my Eileen Fisher clothing but I wore this dress yesterday and I hate it. When I put it on yesterday it was perfect but over the day, the crinkles stretched out and now it is huge. It is also too long. I’m going to have to have it altered to wear it in the future.
I’m really disappointed.

Gorgeous dress!
I was hesitant to try the geranium color in this dress, but it is such a beautiful pink! I just love the dress; it's one of those pieces that is a joy to wear. I usually wear a PM in Eileen Fisher, but a reviewer noted that this dress is a little more snug in the bust, so I sized up to a PL. So glad I did; the dress fits comfortably in the bust and still skims my body in a lovely way, not oversized at all. Just gorgeous and delightful

Beautiful, graceful dress with versatility
I had been gazing longingly at ads, knowing I couldn't afford this dress when I happened upon one on clearance at Nordstrom. I usually wear a L or XL but this one was a M. I tried it on anyway, knowing that this brand runs a bit generous. It was slightly snug through the bust but otherwise perfect. It is a little long (nearly to the ankle) but I'd rather it be a little long than a little short. I love how it flows and skims over any lumpy bits The Atlantis color is vibrant.

great but length?
I bot last week a S/P, BUT thinking it is long for me (50"). I read your description of the PS which is 47" long. I am barely 5/2" so 2 inches less would help greatly.
What is the difference between the S/P and the P/S?
I haven't worn it yet, so could return for the shorter size.

Crushed silk tiered dress from last year
I purchased this dress in Raspberry last year with a silk poncho to go with. It was for a wedding. I was hoping to get the cardigan in that color and ordered the Geranium in hopes it would blend nicely. I was not happy with the combination. Do you think the Raspberry color will be offered again? I hope so!

Beautiful and Comfortable
I purchased this dress in Atlantis. The color is vibrant and unique. I wish there was a silk scarf in Atlantis to go with it though the River silk scarf is quite complimentary. I love this style it's so east to dress up or down. I also purchased the cardigan to go with it. It matches beautifully and hits at the right length on my body. I would love to see this dress in more blues and greens. This is a classic yet interesting dress that I will wear for years to come.

Lovely Dress
I have been curious about these crushed silk dresses and finally purchased one. Such a great dress! The silk is a nice, substantial weight while at the same time it is fluid and flowing. The drape is flattering. Since I am 5' 3", I chose to buy the petite size and I love the length. Of course, the regular size would have just been a little longer and still a great length - either would have worked. The armholes are generous but do not show my bra. If you would stretch it out there is a lot of material, but the dress is not oversized. I followed the directions on how to wash and the dress came out perfect. I placed my dress in a mesh bag, put it in the machine and washed on a cold, gentle cycle but with a high spin. This allowed the dress to not have excess water when it was finished. I then began the twisting - starting at the shoulders and twisting the dress (vertically) down to the hem. I held on to the top and twisted with the other hand. I then tied the twisted dress into a knot and it looked kind of like a pretzel. I put it on a towel on a flat surface. It has been very rainy here and it took the dress a little over 2 days to dry. I crossed my fingers and unwrapped the dress. And, just like magic - the dress was in its original, crushed silk elegance! The dress is now hanging in my closet. I am excited to travel with this dress. I will probably twist it to put into the suitcase and then have it perfectly ready to wear at my destination.

I’m in my 60’s and I purchased this dress for my wedding along with the matching poncho in the color Cobblestone. It is absolutely beautiful and fits perfectly. It can definitely be dressed up, with the matching poncho or casual with a denim jacket so I will be able to wear this for years to come. Love it ❤️
