Nice fabric, cheap zipper
I love EF and have been buying her timeless pieces for over 25 years. Over half of my clothes are EF and I'm still wearing some of the earliest sweaters and jackets. Sadly these pants are not up to EF standards. The zipper is cheap and hitchy and the side seams are not finished on the inside like previous pants. Hope this is a one-off.

My New Fav
I purchased this pant in Grove & Black. After reading the reviews I took a chance and ordered one size up. The pant sits lower on the waist like a boyfriend jean and the rise is shorter than typical other EF styles. That being said, they are a perfect fit for me. The fabric is substantial with a little stretch and I love the deep front pockets and the back pockets make my bum look great. Wow what a find!

Button blow
The cut, fit and length are just right for my pp frame—they’re also an ideal 3 season weight. However, the front button seems bachwards(?) and completely blew off on the second wear. Gasp. They had one gentle wash/air dry. By no means was I trying to squeeze into this pair either, they’re totally normal fit otherwise Seems like a poor/er quality from the EF I’ve had on the past.

A hit and a miss
I loved the fabric - a slubby mixture of cotton and hemp that felt akin to the utility style. The style overall was comfortable, with a modestly cropped leg (for reference, I'm 5'8" tall), and perfect for spring, summer, and fall.
However, the front button and zipper were on the wrong side of the pant, which felt odd, and they had inconsistent fit and sizing - I bought both the gray and black versions, and the gray pant had a noticeably lower waist and felt uncomfortably tighter.
Regrettably, I'm sending back both pairs. I would love to see Eileen Fisher create more designs in this fabric - I appreciate its textured utilitarianism - and more of the casual but clean utility styling, which I find appropriate for dressing modestly up and comfortably down.

Delighted to find EF pants in PS, I bought two pairs. As others have said, they were tight in the waist and also didn't hang well. Disappointed. Returned them.

I bought these pants back in January. The fit was a little weird. Tight on the waist and a little too short in the crotch. Sizing was different for sure. Encouraged me to lose a few pounds in order to be comfortable. I ended up keeping them but bewildered by the sizing.
