Introducing the "unjean," a lantern pant that wears like denim but with a little
more ease. In a slubby blend of cotton and hemp that's garment dyed for a
relaxed feel.

I would recommend these pants.
Love the lantern pants the fabric is quality that I like. I usually wear a medium, but I find the lantern pants I wear a small.

I love these pants!
I bought these in petite, the light cream/beige (forget the actual color name), and I was thrilled when they came. Even better looking than on the website, the pants fit me perfectly. The drape, which holds its shape but is still soft, is very flattering. They look expensive, and the quality is, as always, top notch.

A great summer pant
I love these pants. The fabric holds its shape and is a comfortable weight for summer. I bought the white to wear with colorful silk shirts. I also bought the cotton hemp jacket in white and together I think I look a bit like an orderly in 'One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest" which is a fun and fabulous look I love.

Style and Comfort
I love the comfort and style of the Lantern pant; living in the southeast, I can wear these pants all year long. I am a big fan of all things "Eileen Fisher" and often shop second hand stores for items that have little wear to them. I like that Eileen Fisher rehabilitates their used clothing for resale too.

Nice slacks for someone tall.
These slacks would look good on someone tall. But on someone short (like myself) they look stumpy and have the appearance of additional pounds. They are nice material. The style is a wide leg from top to bottom; on someone short it is not an attractive look. Therefore, this particular style does not suit me personally.

Very Stiff Fabric
I usually love lantern pants, but the fabric was very stiff for cotton, with not much give - much like unwashed denim. There was also a side zipper that felt very uncomfortable with the elastic waist. I returned them, and too bad really, because the color was fabulous (rather than the usual black or grey.

A real pain to iron
After washing in cold water, delicate cycle, and line drying, the pants looked rumpled, especially at the seams. There are 3 seams down the legs, so extra attention and effort are required to get rid of the rumpled look. After 20 minutes of ironing, I’m still not happy with the results. The fabric looks sloppy. I have the clay color.

rugged pants in great color
I really like the fabric, hemp, a little heavier and feels more rugged than just cotton. Runs large. I usually take an XL but needed to exchange for L. It's still a little big, but I can wear as is. Love the earthy color, tarragon.

Disappointing
Ordered two of these in different colors, both in two sizes - one my usual size, and the other 1 size smaller. Kept the larger ones because the smaller were just a tad tight. Wish I had kept the smaller! The larger ones stretched after 2-3 wearings to where they now just look baggy -- in a bad way -- and I have to keep pulling them up. They return to shape after washing, only to stretch out again. Too late to return them, but I would do if I could.

Great casual pant
Very comfortable! I was looking for a casual pant that is good for weekend brunches, etc. Overall I am very happy with these pants - on me the side zip is very flattering. The XL seems slightly on the large side - but I know I would not fit into a L. I'd prefer the rise to be slightly shorter, and the legs slightly longer. But overall I am super happy with them.

Elegantly resilient
This is the 2nd pair of these trousers for me. Frankly, I was skeptical—hemp—would they be stiff, would they shrink? I love them, the fabric is a different weave for me—not quite a twill, a little more substantial than the linen version — and at the same time soft and comfortable on the skin.

Organic Cotton Hemp Lantern Pants
I like this material. And the lantern pant is my favorite style. On me, it’s full length, which I absolutely require. If I see a pant with a 25 inch inseam, I absolutely will not buy it. I need 26-27 inch inseams. EF, please STOP all the cropped pants!
I have two pairs of these pants, one black and one white. I have washed the white pair and they absolutely need to be steamed or ironed. The white is very white but the black leans to charcoal.
Please keep the lantern pants coming!
