Disappointed
I purchased this blazer to go with matching ponte pants but I returned it. The jacket was unlined (my fault, I should have noticed this in the description) and the facing sort of flopped out because it wasn't tacked in. The blazer made me think of something you'd find at a seconds or outlet store. Not the usual EF purchase.

We miss the shaped fit!
Nice color. Really dislike the ponte fabrics, though this one with cotton is a little better than the others. Please, bring back stretch crepe. Apart from color and fabric, the jacket is awful. The collar won’t lay flat. The patch pockets remind me of my grade school art teacher’s painting smock. But worst of all: the shape. The new “easy “ isn’t actually narrow at the shoulders and wider at the hem, as described. It is just a large shapeless square. Please bring back the true “shaped” quote that was so elegant for women with hips.

Not a fan of the fabric
I really struggle with the new cotton ponte fabric. I like that it is washable, but it feels like thinner cotton jersey and the black is faded instead of vibrant/deep black like the previous ponte fabric. I have tried several pieces and they all have had a washed black look. I would much rather have to dry clean items in order to have a traditional ponte with better color-stay dye and quality fabrication. This blazer is so thin, and the flashing inside the collar is not sewn down completely so it rolls. It is flattering in this long length, but the faded black, lack of structure, and overall quality were disappointing.

Love EF jackets but this is not one of them
This looks great on the model and the longer cut appealed to me. Unfortunately I am beginning to suspect that EF’s cotton ponte works better with pants than it does with jackets. I have a long blazer in EF’s classic stretch crepe and it is superior in every single way to this jacket in terms of fit, finish, and how the fabric moves and breathes. I’m very sorry to say that this simply looked cheap and poorly made, which is not something I have experienced before with Eileen Fisher. Returned.
