Boxy, smelly & outright Gray (not blue-gray)
I purchased this at Nordstrom’s online on-sale— I’d been bemused by reviews noting a heavy perfume smell as I’d not experienced that ever with EF items. The package REEKED of a baby-powder perfume scent even prior to opening. The sweater itself seemed nicely made as per usual, however much, much wider and shorter than expected. It also is not as soft as other EF cotton cashmere items I’ve purchased- one of which I’m currently wearing. I’m not certain if the strange hand/feel and the over-powering scent are a part of the recycling process— if they are, please STOP ADDING THE SMELL IMMEDIATELY. It must be possible to clean and process items in a scent-free way that doesn’t impose on others. I will now be leery (sale to not) of any item EF offers with ‘recycled’ in the description.

Too wide. Description said ‘ boxy’, but this was shapeless and poor fitting. Loved the fabric though.

Sweater with an Unusual Weave.
This sweater in person is exactly like the photo. I have only worn it once and found it extremely comfortable, warm but not too heavy. The medium size was perfect, roomy and not tight.

Beautiful sweater, too scented
This is a beautiful sweater that I wish I could keep, but increasingly all of Eileen Fisher shipments have strong fragrance in them and it causes asthma. I wish they would stop. The fabrics are beautiful on their own. I don't think I could get the fragrance out of this sweater without ruining it so it's going back, sadly.

Beautiful and distinctive
This cotton cashmere mix is comfortable at a range of temperatures. The unusual weave design has brought a number of compliments. I can wear it with black sweatpants or dressier black slacks. Washed it in a sweater bag and hanged it to dry over a rack. I expect to wear it for years, as I do my several other EF cashmeres.

Beautiful material but it was very wide. I need extra room in the middle but this was too much. I returned it.
