I love so much about this boot. The look, the fit and, for the most part, the quality. I didn't anticipate how stiff the leather would be. I expect it will soften with time and care. It might be a good idea to include a note with the boots about this and offer advice about how to soften them. I'm "massaging" my boots with dubbin and I expect that will work.

I had tried these on in the past and returned them, however when they went on sale, I re-ordered them as my other brown combat boots from the 90s were getting a bit old...These boots are a bit snug width wise, however, I can get them stretched. I wear an 8 1/2 and 9s are too big. I saw another commenter reviewing them and called them combat boots, so that is when I took another look. I am glad I made the purchase and these are great for transitional weather.

Looking Good
I have not yet worn these booties as we are beginning warm weather where I live. I bought them on sale at this time of yearbecause I love the style. Received them and they look just as expected. High quality leather, and nice feel. Even though I have bunions, my usual size 9 feels very comfortable. Again, I haven’t worn them yet and do not plan to until the fall, I like them well enough to keep them.

Fabulous Coin Leather Bootie
I had been watching these boots to go on sale as I they are quite expensive full price. When they did,
I purchased them in both brown and black. They are chic and comfortable. I appreciate the combination of size zippers and lace up front for easy on/off. The versatility of the design enables me to wear them from dressy to casual. Love them!

Maybe your mothers combat boots
They are definitely combat boots. I've gotten boots of the same bulky look with a lot less weight, but they look great. Beautiful color. Leather inside. I actually found them true to size. There are some reviews that indicated they run small. I originally bought a 1/2 size large and had to exchange them for my regular size.
