Heaven is a Sweater
Despite being sorely tempted to buy this in the fall, I waited until it was on sale in the spring. Honestly, I should not have denied myself during the cold months. It is the perfect sweater.
This is my second version of this sweater, in Jan 2018 I purchased the Cashmere Silk Bliss funnel neck boxtop in "Pearl" with 3/4-length sleeves. The design is better here, with full length sleeves. I also think the black is more versatile for casual and dressy occasions. I find this sweater perfect in both warm and cool temps. It transitions wonderfully between seasons and is the perfect thing to have on hand during "too cold" air-conditioning in the summer, or actual chilly weather where you want to be snuggled deep in its loft.
In terms of durability, I lived in this sweater throughout the pandemic, wearing it practically every day. I have occasionally handwashed the sweater for the six years I have owned it, and have had minimal shrinkage, though the loft died down considerably. Because of my extensive use of the sweater, it has lovely signs of age - thinning in the elbows, latticing on the sides where the material is wearing thin. It is a sweater that grows more charismatic with age and use. I am thrilled to supplement it with this version, which I hope to wear for many years to come.

A sweater of simple quality elegance .
I wanted a simple , yet elegant sweater .
With this sweater I got both criteria I wanted . .
It was so soft , so warm, for a formal winter dinner .
I wore it with the boiled wool lantern pants and I felt very regal , indeed .
I accessorized with simple , yet stand out , gold jewelry .

Just as soft and light as others say. Based on others' reviews I ordered a small even though I usually wear medium/large, and it fits perfectly. Will dry clean. Bought on sale.

Great Fabric
Silk Bliss Funnel Neck in Black size Medium: The fabric of this sweater is wonderful. The funnel neck design is very pretty. Unfortunately the sweater is somewhat too short and the sleeves are almost not long enough. I will make do and keep this due the nice fabric, but would appreciate it if the boxy cut sweaters for non-petite / regular sizes could be made a few inches longer so they can fit better. Why not make a better fit given the price? For reference, I am of average height and normally clothes are long enough for me, except not this year's Eileen Fisher boxy cut sweaters.

So soft, but not sustainable
This sweater is so, so soft, and comfortable. the cut is definitely boxy and so I have to be careful how I style this. The care for the sweater is a challenge.... not sustainable... I hand washed it a couple of time, but the sweater isn't the same afterwards. sad.. probably more sustainable with dry cleaning, but I not practical for my lifestyle.
