Better than it looks online
I was a little worried that this sandal would look clunky, but it's great--a really good balance of comfort and style. The sole makes it look a little edgy/modern, without looking like it's trying to be offbeat. It happens to be just the right shape for my foot, which is great. I would buy it in the cognac color, too, if I could find it on sale.

Elegant sandals without compromising comfort
Comfortable. I bought these sandals to wear with the Sheer Silk Georgette dress. They work very well together. The sandals are comfortable- I don’t have a car, I live in the UK and I use public transport: so far I haven’t had any issues. The Velcro straps are very useful to adapt them to your feet.

So close to perfect
Overall I really like these shoes: a modern chunky style without being absurd, comfortable but stylish, very much what I wanted. I am, however, perplexed that the velcro fastener over the toes does not actually allow you to adjust the size of the sandal to fit. It's just a velcro flap for no reason. Wouldn't it make more sense to either make the shoe's fit more adjustable, or to simply skip that velcro panel? I don't particularly mind it, but for those whose feet are harder to fit and are looking for shoes that allow them to adjust, this falls short of what seems to be promised from the shoe's appearance alone.

Does not adjust in front
I am huge EF fan, have many EF boots and shoes. I bought these because they look like they adjust at the ankle and across the front. Whether defective or not, mine do NOT adjust in the front and are stitched down making one too narrow for me. Disappointed.

Black sandals
One of my favorite pair of Eileen Fisher sandals is the SPREE-WS, which I bought about 9 or 10 years ago. I still have them and wear them all the time. The straps are a bit loose, and I've been looking for a similar pair to replace them, when these CALO-TL caught my attention. They are wonderful and comfortable just like my old pair! So glad I bought them!

Adorable, but heavy
Love the look of this sandal- the cognac color is gorgeous and leather very nice. But the wedge is heavy, and the weight of it is felt on the strap right on top of the foot on a weird angle, which created a red rubbing spot from me walking on my bedroom carpet. Not for me, sent it back.
