Bramble is beautiful
I LOVE this bramble color!!! Neutral, but rich-looking and distinctive. I agree with the reviewer that noted that the shape/cut of the handles is awkward-an astute observation. And I might not have kept this bag had it not been on sale-but it was and I did! Like all the compartments/pockets:will be practical.

Quality Bag; Simple and Functional
I purchased the bramble color, and as others have commented, it differs from what is shown on website; bramble is a neutral, matte finish taupe. I am 5'7" and 140lbs, and this is a large bag for my frame; anyone more petite might be overwhelmed with the size. That said, it is a quality bag, rests comfortably on the shoulder, has 2 exterior and 4 interior pockets; although the magnetic closure could be a bit stronger. On end of season offer, it was an incredible value, and I am so happy it was made by American leather artisans in NYC.

The color is gorgeous although different than pictured. The leather is lovely and the bag is well made. The issue for me is the cut of the shoulder strap. It is cut like an inexpensive bag that does not conform to the shoulder but rather falls off. A shoulder strap is great but when the strap is wide, it either needs to have hinging hardware or be cut to fit to the body. This is neither. I am undecided if I will keep it as I’m not sure I will be able to use it more than occasionally. Otherwise the size is perfect and the look is contemporary and minimal.

Very nice big bag.

The Color is not what you see.
The color was way off from how it was shown on the website. I wish you can add RGB to describe the color when difficult to show the subtlety of the colors. The color is one of the reasons why I choose EF. When the color is off, it is disappointing....I didn't dislike the color, but it was not what I expected.

Not worth the price or effort
Cheap quality leather for the price. Magnets that are supposed to hold the top together do not work. Possibly put in the bag incorrectly (opposing sides) or just not strong enough to hold the bag closed. I am returning it. If I can ever get someone to reply to my emails! I actually finally received this bag after I was sent another item by mistake in place of this. Trying to communicate with anyone at the company is virtually impossible.

Not so small
I thought this would be a good choice to replace my every day bag. It was relatively large and had several pockets, which I liked. The brown color was fine too, not as pale as I thought it might be. What I didn't like was the magnetic snap closing, which seemed to have very little magnetism, so it didn't seem securely closed, and the design of the shoulder strap, which felt rather uncomfortable. This is a well made bag, but I knew that I would not want to use it often and since few of us has special occasions at present I sent it back.

Love this bag!
Beautiful bag design and high quality leather. Others have complained about the color (Bramble), but I love it - best description is "tan" - very neutral and will go with anything. I have this bag in off-white, purchased many years ago, and I love having a new color.

Lovely spring into summer bag
this bag is so soft and more of a summer taupe then the buttery color used to describe it ...I love the construction of it as it has form and shape but it gives as well. I prefer softer one handled shoulder bags and this one does not disappoint! With enough room for me to access the bags contents without needing to sling it off my shoulder as well as an exterior pocket for my keys and one for my phone I’ll be carrying this for many years to come!

Color absolutely not as shown
The bag is a great size, the strap is the perfect length. The leather is soft and rich, the lining is nicely done. The color looks like a dirty, dark taupe. It is not a light summary color but it is neutral, more dull than luminescent.

Perfect pocketbook

Excellent Small Tote Bag
Everything about the design and construction of this bag is wonderful. However, I decided that it is larger than I want for an “everyday bag” and for this reason I returned it. Yet for anyone with a desire for a large purse or small tote, this is an excellent bag.

Hooray! Outer pockets return.
The outer pockets are fantastic. I have an older EF bag with these pockets and they're great. I think the large inner pocket should be divided into two. And the magnet needs to be stronger so the bag will stay closed. The outer pockets are what sold me. Please make in several colors!

All style..but the color: bleh
I have gazed at this bag, in "Bramble", for several days to insure that my disappointment is not misplaced. But alas. This bag is the PERFECT STYLE. Color can be difficult to depict, but "Bramble" in the online photo appears to be a beautiful, pearlized beige, neutral and ready to compliment the wardrobe. Sadly, in truth, the color is a dull and undistinguished brown: I cannot imagine this color being desirable even in the depth of fall. In addition, given that the promised color is "Bramble", it is reasonable to expect that the color of the "Bramble" [sic] bag would coordinate with the Bramble pieces (of which collection I have many) featured this season. Not so, not even close. PLEASE keep the STYLE and bring your loyal customers a lovely NEUTRAL leather. Yes, the bag I am holding is being placed back in the box and is off for return.

Handsome bag
Carefully crafted and designed, this bag is just the right size for me. I'm 5'1" and it doesn't overpower me. The quality leather is soft with convenient pockets outside and inside. It is pricey and I used a discount to purchase. My only improvement would be to have a lighter interior and 'feet' on the bottom. Regardless, I still give it 5 stars.
