Not for petite person
The leather is very soft. Other reviews said not to load it up, so I would agree it would compromise on it appearance. It is a big backpack that covered my entire back, more suitable for a taller or larger person. I plan to give it to a friend for Christmas.

Beautiful Bag!!!!
I just love this backpack. The leather is beautiful and i like the Bramble color. The only thing I don't like, is no where on this purse does it say it's an Eileen Fisher. NO WHERE!
Also, I wish the open pockets inside the purse were a bit deeper as my cell phone falls out of it. Other than that, it's a beautiful bag.

Leather backpack
I have it in black as well. I love how sleek they are and comfortable. They enhance any outfit not ruin a look like most backpacks. They also don’t get ruined in the rain and are really well made.
Not crazy about the bramble color and would have preferred a more natural brown, but overall I’m so thrilled with the quality.

Perfect travelling purse
I've read the other reviews, and I have none of the same complaints. I use this only when I travel, and it's been perfect. It is not structured, so it can be squished down easily into a suitcase. I just carry the bare essentials in it when I'm out and about in a different city, and I've had no problems with quality. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years, and it's in great shape!
