Nice Heavyweight Pullover, But Not For Me
Unfortunately, this just didn't work for me. I'm a slim pear shape & the cut & weight of this top did not do any favors for me, so back it went. It would probably work better for a different body type.

My New Favorite Sweater
I LOVE THIS SWEATER! It is casual and comfortable, and also stylish and attractive. I wear it with leggings and I feel great in it it.

Runs very large, fabric stiff
Pros: I like the color (I bought the dark wine color), and the sweater is nice and warm. I like the side slits, because it make the sweater less bulky.
Cons: The fabric is similar to Eileen Fisher's boiled wool (which I like), but much stiffer and not very soft. To decide what size to order, I find that looking at the fit on the model helps (the actual size designation does not). The extra small on the 5'10" model looks oversized, so I got an extra small. I'm 5'6" and weigh 130 lbs. EF size M used to fit me well, but recently the size of a M is more like what L used to be.
I bought this on sale, so I feel I got a good deal on a warm "everyday" sweater. I would not have paid full price for this item.

Makes a Mess After a Washing
I like the fit and cozy warmth of the sweater. The fact that something at EF is "sustainable" is less important than the convenience and long wearability of the product I am buying. For a few days after I carefully launder this, I have to shake out many, many fluffs all over the floor, bed, etc. Since I have a dark grey they look like bugs. Otherwise fit is a little big, I purchased a medium.

Oversized!
I usually size down on boxy styles but could have gone down 2 for a less full fit as this top is very generously sized. Material in not too bulky but a tad itchy. Warm/cozy feel. Hits mid-thigh on me (about 5’4”) and sleeves are plenty long.Love the cassis color.
