The lantern pant. A modern shape with front pleats and an ankle-baring length. Soft, smooth and drapey in our boiled wool knit.

Best pants ever!
I've worn these every day since I got them. I've never been this warm outdoors during the winter ever. They are so comfortable. I also had a little fall and skinned my knee but somehow the fabric didn't tear. Very excited to have found them. They should last for a long time. I got size small. I'm 5'3" 140 lbs. They are quite generous in the waist. They fall down a bit on me partly because I have no butt, however an xs would have been too small. A zipper combined with the elastic waistband would be better. I hope the elastic will last even with all the pulling on and off. They are full length on me but that works for the cold.

Absolutely LOVE these pants, wish there was a similar pair in a non-wool fabric since these have a much higher rise than the traditional lantern pants.

Order carefully.
I bought three pairs of three - I LOVE the fabric and they look great when I first put them on. And then…they stretched out. The back end is huge and they grew longer with each wear. I’m going to take them to the tailor and have them hemmed but I look at little ridiculous in the sprung buttocks. Think I should have bought a much smaller size though the person in the store thought they were perfect when I first put them on…lesson learned.
