Versatile shirt dress!
I’ve only worn this as a shirtdress so far but will also be wearing it as a long cardigan-style topper in cooler weather. I’m not sure what the difference is between “cotton twill” and chambray or denim but that’s what the fabric is like. It’s definitely not a formal piece but you can dress it up wear it casually like a summer dress. I try to buy fewer wardrobe pieces that are more flexible and this definitely fits the bill. My only issue is a tiny bit of gaping in the bust. I’ll adjust one of the buttons a little bit and consider adding some hidden snaps to fix that up. The next size up was sold out at my store but I didn’t want to miss a great sale price and I seem to be right on the line between sizing so I’ll make it work. :)

Didn’t fit my 5’10” frame
At 5’10” the sleeves are too short and the waist with drawstring was too high. The garment fit odd. I returned the garment. I do like the fabric and may seek out another item that uses the fabric.

Not for me
I'm short waisted and busty. This high waisted dress is generously cut and the material falls loosely from my bustline making me look pregnant. I tried adjusting and tightening the waistline but it didn't matter. The styling didn't work for my body type. The material and light weight are perfect for transitional seasons. The full price was priced too high but the sale price is a more reasonable price point for this piece. If you're not busty this may work for you.

Lovely piece
I bought this dress to wear as an overpiece. I absolutely love it and it fits beautifully. The soft denim fabric goes over anything and the length makes everything look fancier. I am 5'5" and 230lbs and bought a 2x. Even the sleeves fit perfectly.
