hem. Buttoned up—but never stuffy.

A shirt for all seasons and it’s not White!

Perfect casual summer shirt
Perfect shirt and finally in cotton. Every time I see the new arrivals I hope for shirts in similar styles made from cotton, flannel or tencel. So many beautiful colors are in linen, which I can't wear. I bought the black and would have considered the white as well, but the reports about being too sheer stopped me. Would welcome this in other colors too. It hasn't actually been warm enough to wear this yet here in the North Country....but soon!

The organic poplin shirt is a great piece to have in your closet. The material is superb and the fit is true to size. I like the longer length and will wear it with slim pants and leggings.

Nice quality, but SUPER short sleeves.
Sleeves are super short. But the quality of the shirt was very nice, as is the cut, but the sleeves are oddly short. Returned both shirts.

Perfect shirt for warm weather and travel
This was a great find, bought it as soon as I saw it. First the black and then went back for the white. The white is a slightly lighter fabric in a good way. The washed fabric feels a bit softer than the poplin from prior years. Crisp collar, ideal length for fitted pants and leggings, and graceful lines. Well made and great fit, not at all tight in the bust or hem but slightly tapered so not oversized in look. Bought a medium, did not size up. Nice buttoned or open as a light casual top layer.

Modern Slim Fitting Shirt
I bought this shirt originally in black and when I first tried on, I was a little surprised at how high the armhole was cut, so I left it hanging for a few days to try on again. My second attempt was better. Although the upper sleeve was slimmer than my other EF shirts, I found that it was a nicer option to wear with layering pieces. The fabric doesn't feel as substantial as past EF poplin shirts, but washes well in the sink and drip drying. I find that it is a valuable enhancement to my capsule wardrobe and I will be buying white too. Thanks Eileen!

Disappointing
I purchased both colors in my normal size but neither was a great fit. White was sheer and tight in the bust area - the black fit better but one sleeve was a good 2” shorter than the other. Very disappointed and thought that Eileen Fisher was “back on track” with these sizing issues.
