Boiled Wool Jersey
Dressing in CA is very casual. Add this piece to jeans and a blouse for a Saturday night out and you have elevated CA casual. Weight of fabric is perfect for chilly evenings.

Lots of compliments!
I really like this version of the boil wool fabric. It feels more flexible and finer, which I appreciate. This duster runs more true to size as opposed to the normally oversized EF fit.

Beautiful, soft, versatile
I’ve had my eye on this jacket for a couple months and was thrilled to find it on sale. It’s a great weight and dresses up or goes with jeans.

Too much fabric!
I so wanted to like this coat style jacket but it just had too much fabric for my petite frame. The light color and weight of the boiled wool are perfect for southern California! I have several other EF pieces in this fabric that I love but this one just did not work for me. Sad!

Wrong Color
I have this beautiful coat in Nocturne and I love it. This green not so much but since it was on sale I decided to go for it. The color was not for me so I’m returning it.

Makes me smile
This coat is beyond beautiful. It is the perfect weight for an air conditioned restaurant or theater. The drape and style are sophisticated and elegant. It's an easy piece to dress up or down.

Not a practical choice for me
I liked the serpentine color very much, but this didn't meet my expectations. Given the length, I would have liked a heavier material for more of a coat weight. I found this "jacket" impractically lightweight, so I returned it. The fabric's weight was too in-between for my lifestyle. It fabric wasn't practical for cold autumn days, and it was too heavy for warm spring days.

Versatile Duster
Purchased on sale. I’m between a S and M in EF jackets and sized up to M. The chalk color is flattering with silver-grey hair and the fabric is very soft and light. I was concerned about the side seams tearing because of the high slits, but they are reinforced with extra stitching and so far, so good. The shawl collar looks nice layered w most necklines.

Beautiful lightweight wool in fabulous serpentine
I am 5ft, 4inches, weight 108lbs, petite built. The PP fit perfect for my broad shoulders. I love, love the color serpentine. It is a warm unique color that I will wear with ivy, black, cassis and alpine. I like the slim fit compared to some of the other styles and the side slits are attractive and give that swing. It is a perfect weight for outdoors and indoors with a silk long dress, skirts or all styles of pants. I hope you make more items in sweaters, blouses, turtlenecks and silk scarf in this versatile color.

"Chalk" is not how it appears online
I bought this in Nocturne and like it very much, so I bought it in "Chalk". Beware, it looks white online, but it's really a light brown. Really unhappy.

Perfect for Mild Winter
Contrary to the negative reviews about the fabric, I LOVE this jacket. I think its weight and shape is perfect for the mild but sometimes chilly weather in Southern CA. I like it so much, I purchased matching pants. I am a 16/18 who prefers loose and flowing fits so I ordered 1X in both thought I know the XL would’ve been a more tailored look.

Elegant
Nocturne goes with everything. I upped one size so it would float over a smooth tight underlayer or a belted dress. With leggings and boots, this long jacket also pairs well with EF's long boiled-wool vest, becoming almost coat-like for north FL. Up north, I can see it layering well and making for a perfect wrap in the car. And it doesn't wrinkle! Lovely cut, beautiful drape. Will be a staple for years . . .

Perfect for Florida winter
While I understand some negative reviews about thinness and snugness of this design, I absolutely love this coat exactly because of those features. I am 5.5, 130lb, medium built and size S fits very nicely over a silk dress. I am very happy to be able to wear a COAT in forever warm Florida. I also think this would look nice with a leather belt.

Barely feels like wool
I was very disappointed in the quality of this fabric. I was expecting the same as the shorter version of this that I have had for a couple years. The wool is almost tissue thin & wouldn’t even be good for me as a cardigan, let alone a coat. I have both a camel and a teal shorter version & both are size XS. I ordered a size M in this version & I could have used a size large! It’s been returned. Too bad! I would have loved a longer version in a nicer, thicker wool.

Disappointed in Performance of Fabric
I just wore this jacket for the first time since my purchase and was disappointed -- while I love the overall style and fashion statement this EF high collar jacket makes, the fabric picks up everything you brush up against as well as fibers from most sweaters worn underneath it. I find myself using the lint brush before each use. Additionally, I did find the XS too snug in the shoulders and arms -- I purchased this item in a S but actually preferred the overall fit of the XS in the body of the garment. I will not purchase any EF items in this fiber content again. I also wish I had worn it around the house before removing the tags -- it would have gone back for a refund or an exchange for another jacket in a higher quality fabric.

My new favorite coat!
Just received my coat today, I like lightweight coats and jackets, so perfect for me. Heavy enough to wear in colder temperatures. Looks beautiful on! My fifth Eileen boiled wool coat.

Perfect for travel
Light weight- but still cozy. I prefer a slim leg with this style and it gives an elegant swirl for evening. The nocturne color works with black and browns and some navy’s. A full price purchase and i am so glad I have it for my fall/winter wardrobe to dress up many of last years pieces. I am 5.4 and it makes me look taller, which I love. .
