We want to make clothes in a way that actually helps make things better.
That’s why we’re rethinking everything we know.
Scroll Down
We’re moving away from a linear model,
to one that is truly circular.
That means choosing fibers that are
regenerative,
renewable,
& recyclable.
at the end of their useful lives.
So that the clothes we make today
become the raw materials for clothes we make tomorrow.
It also means adopting smarter processes that require
Less water energy
and fewer chemicals.
Because the easiest way to clean up our planet
is to do things right from the very beginning.
The journey to circular will be long. And we won’t always get it right.
But there is no plan B.
We’re committed to designing a future
Where benefits for some don’t mean sacrifices for others.
We’re committed to designing a future without waste.

The materials we choose

Regenerative Wool

Clothes That Fight Climate Change
  • It’s no longer enough to do less harm.
  • Our merino is making a positive impact.
  • We’re working with farmers who use holistic grazing practices that help draw down carbon from the atmosphere and restore soil health and biodiversity in Patagonia.
  • Together, we’re fighting climate change… one sweater at a time.

Responsible Wool

  • Better for sheep, better for land.
  • Our wool supports farmers who meet best practices for animal welfare and land management.

Tree Fiber

  • Made from renewable wood pulp, Tencel™ Lyocell is processed in a closed-loop system.
  • Less energy, less water, fewer chemicals and no old-growth trees.

Organic Cotton

  • No pesticides, no herbicides.
  • Just organic cotton, grown in fields that are healthier for workers and wildlife.

Organic Linen

  • One of the world’s most sustainable natural fibers.
  • Flax needs less irrigation, less energy and fewer chemicals than cotton.

Recycled Fibers

  • We’re increasing our use of recycled materials to reduce our dependence on finite sources.

The chemistry we use

Color Without Compromise

Bluesign® Certified
  • The best way to keep our waterways clean?
  • Skip the harmful substances right from the start.
  • We’re working with certified dyehouses that use safer chemistry.
  • No toxic dyes, no wastewater pollution.
  • Just color you can feel good about.

Leather Working Group

  • Leather tanning produces pollutants that are hazardous to human and environmental health.
  • Our responsible tanneries receive Silver or Gold ratings for chemical and waste management.

Undyed

  • One way we’re lessening our impact: skipping the dyes and harmful chemicals altogether.

The people behind the process

Fair Trade

Love, Peru
  • Our fair-trade project supports over 500 families in Arequipa, Peru.
  • Since 2005, we’ve invested in an alternative supply chain that provides training and higher wages for local artisans.
  • They set up their own home-based workshops, staffed by neighbors, family and friends.
  • It’s just one way business can make life better for the people who make our clothes.

Human Rights

  • Yes to worker empowerment.
  • No to excessive hours, unsafe conditions and child and forced labor.
  • That’s the SA8000 standard.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
  • Because we all benefit when we work in an environment where our differences are valued.
