Growth and development begin with our collaborative way of working, which encourages everyone to listen and learn from each other. Other opportunities for growth at EF include:

  • Participating in teams that work across departments and across the company. For example, people from our Design, Merchandising and Product Development teams worked together to devise a new system that manages the complex process of creating new collections each season.
  • Taking on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Being coached by an experienced partner to learn a new skill. Or sharing your own expertise with someone less experienced, learning coaching and mentoring skills along the way.
  • Partnering with others to participate in or manage a project with coaching from an experienced leader.
  • Becoming a part of teams, such as Wellness or Social Consciousness, to help them serve the company and the communities we touch.
  • Enrolling in external training and education programs, supported by the company and through individual annual education allowances of $1000.
  • Participating in key off-site meetings where various members of the company come together to explore important topics, new ideas and business opportunities.
  • Attending internal workshops to learn life skills for understanding yourself and others, and to explore creativity and foster collaboration.
  • Engaging in our Development Dialogue process, through which employees meet with their leaders to explore what they have been learning and new opportunities for growth.
We believe that the development helps our company thrive, both culturally and financially. It also affects our employees' lives beyond work. As one of our leaders put it, "Working at this company has made me a better person."
