Lovely sweater, runs HUGE
I broke down and bought this pricey sweater when I received my birthday coupon. I ordered a medium since I wanted it to be over-sized. I'm not a tiny person - 5'5" 145 lbs - and I was swimming in a size medium. I know EF runs large but this is ridiculous. And now there are no more size smalls left. So #sad.
Beautiful sweater - soft and luxurious and with beautiful silver threads running through it. But c'mon, Eileen (hey isn't that a song?) - why are your sizes so gigantic? It's impossible to figure out what size to get and it really depends on the piece (and it's why I buy less and less from you - it's always a crap shoot to buy online).

I am a loyal EF customer of countless years and have always counted on the quality, versatility, and fit of the garments from this company. At least 90% of my wardrobe is EF. I was excited to purchase this sweater as the online photo looked perfect for me but when the sweater arrived it was clear that it was made for somebody twice my size. An EF size M usually fits me very well and I enjoy the oversized look but this was beyond oversized. I doubt even an XS would have looked good on me. I returned it immediately! Lovely fabric and design but sadly not for me.

Perfect!
I finally broke down and ordered this (with thanks to EF for the coupon). The picture does not do it justice. The threads running through the weave are a gray and there is an undertone of gray to what appears to be a soft white. And while it looks beautiful with gray slacks/jeans it is just as nice with navy, black or pretty much whatever you come up with. It couldn't be any more neutral. The cotton is very soft, yet the knit has great body, so a layering piece is not necessary. I was advised to actually err on the side of "no cling" going up a size and it was the right choice. It's a beautiful sweater. Is it expensive? Yup, but you get what you pay for.
