EILEEN FISHER's Opening Event in Palm Beach to Benefit PACE Center for Girls

March 17, 2008

EILEEN FISHER is delighted to announce the opening of its 40th retail location in Palm Beach, Florida, the company's first store on Florida's east coast. The 2800-square-foot store will offer the EILEEN FISHER collection in both missy and petite sizes. This is the first location designed to include the EILEEN FISHER Home collection.

The company is excited by the area's vibrant market comprised of year-round residents and abundant seasonal visitors. "The Palm Beach store allows us to serve the Sunbelt customer by providing a great year-round assortment of wear-now fabrics, including nonwool options during the fall and winter months," says Karen Gray, Director of Stores for EILEEN FISHER. "As other areas of the country are still wearing winter clothes, we anticipate this location will serve as an early indicator of customer favorites for spring wardrobing."

EILEEN FISHER will celebrate their newest location with a special day of shopping for a cause. Ten percent of all purchases on Saturday, March 29th will support the PACE Center for Girls, whose mission is to provide girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. Representatives from PACE will be on hand to speak with customers and staff about their mission and the services they provide. Refreshments will be served throughout the day.

It has always been a part of EILEEN FISHER's philosophy to support the communities near its offices and stores through relationships with organizations committed to supporting women's well-being, environmental organizations and local community organizations. Support ranges from merchandise and gift certificates to cash contributions, event sponsorship and retail store partnerships.

"It is our hope to create meaningful and lasting relationships with the organizations we partner with nationally and internationally as a company and on a more direct, local level through our stores," says Amy Hall, director of social consciousness at EILEEN FISHER. "By providing services such as academic education and therapeutic support, PACEaddresses the development of girls in a holistic way that is very much in line with the EILEEN FISHER mission."

EILEEN FISHER designs simple clothes that work together, across the seasons and across the years. With pure shapes and fine fabrics, they create sophistication, comfort-and style that lasts. Simpler for the customer, better for the environment. Founded in 1984, the company reported overall sales of $254 million in 2007. The collection is sold by major retailers and specialty stores across the U.S. and Canada as well as in 40 company-owned stores. Based in Irvington, N.Y., the company operates showrooms in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta
