To support the women and girls in our community, our retail stores will be selling a book that is a great resource for anyone interested in becoming a leader on issues that matter to them. It's called Every Day is Election Day: A Woman's Guide to Winning Any Office, from the PTA to the White House and it's written by Rebecca Sive. It has an excellent mix of practical advice and inspiring stories, and a contagious sense of possibility. Here's a snippet: "The next time you attend a community event," writes Rebecca, "look around for the political women. If you're one yourself, look for the others. Then get together and remind yourself... every year is the year of the woman. Help each other remember that when women run, women win."
We also wanted to let you know about two of CAWP's grassroots programs that we are proud to support.
